Question can commission junction see were my traffic comes from?

Just a question because I am having a "quality check" right now. I stated it was ppc. Even though it was really spamming myspace. Thanks. I had built a landing page on my website and on my landing page had the affiliate link

Yes, unless you redirect to blank the referrer. Check out this link:

If you have your own landing page they cant see your traffic source, unless you use dynamic links, images etc from their site...

... well there is a difference though ... i doubt that they can see where YOUR traffic comes from ... but they can see which page you have your affiliate link on ... which is their traffic ... so all that they see is their traffic.

Cheers

Yeah I was thinking they could only see what "webpage" the lead came from *which would be from my landing page on my website* It's not like I had the affiliate link directly on myspace I had it on my very own website so that my website can appear as the referral so should everything be okay?

Smile Re: can commission junction see were my traffic comes from?

Is there any way to put a link in an email that once clicked will take the person to my cj affiliate, but will hide from cj the fact that the origination source was a link in email?

I have heard both ways...that even with redirects, it still shows the origin as email, therefore to make it work you would have to have a landing page where someone would have to manually click another link......

But I see tons of affiliate marketers using links in emails that seem to go right to the cj affiliate program being used, without leading me to an interim landing page where I have to clcik another link 1st?

...?????..granted maybe they risk being banned, but it is so prevalent logically I'm more apt to believe they have some type of redirect or scrpit on a landing page that hides the fact that the origination was email? can't believe they are all on the edge of being banned...I'm sure they read up on forums as well.......any thoughts?
