For those people who use datafeeds for their sites, are you importing them one at a time or are you mashing them together?? If your answer is the latter what process are you using?
So far I'm only able to mash them together manually due to different networks formatting their feeds differently.

Personaly I mash them together using Yahoo Pipes. Its not 100% reliable, but its quick and easy to use.

Have you tried Popshops?

Yahoo Pipes?? You can use this to merge two datafeeds together and then export it?? As for popshops, the only reason I haven't gone down that route is because I want to use the merged datafeed into wordpress or Joomla. Can popshops make 2 feeds go together like this?

how is this done? and how intense is the server load?

Does it load all of the datafeed or drip feed into wordpress?
