I want to do product reviews and link my review directly to a product but the company on cj i want to work with only has text links and banners to home page and specials not to specific products is there a way i can link to the specific products and still be tracked and paid for sales? thank you

Presumably, they have the ability to track at the product level, but they may not advertise that fact. I would try contacting the merchant and asking them if they can do this. There is an "alternative" way to do what you're asking, but you will run the risk of getting your cj account banned, and furthermore, the method cannot be discussed on BHW as per the new forum rules.
