hide your IP with Google's help
this seems to work for hiding you IP.
as far as i know, it only works for the landing page though
open up google language tools
hxxp://www.google.co.in/language_tools?hl=en
where it says translate a web page, enter the site you wanna be on (the site you want to be hiding your IP on)
change the language you want to translate FROM to anything but english (spanish ,whatever), and the language you want to translate to, to english.
Since nothings in spanish (or whatever) on that page, it doesn't translate anything (keeps it english)
it will now take you to the site you typed in, under a different IP.
how? i have no idea
why? i have no idea
try putting in a "whats my IP" site as the URL (in the translate web page thing in language tools) and you'll see, it works
try putting in hxxp://www.ip-adress.com/ in your browser and check your IP and location, then try using the language tools web page translate thingy.
Amazing!
sometimes it doesn't display images properly but seems to work otherwise.
now your like a *****!

Re: hide your IP with Google's help
To me it shows my ip address.. but maybe it works like this because it opens in a frame? Or maybe get's the ip of the spider (or whatever does the work) translating the site?

Re: hide your IP with Google's help
Tested by posting a classifieds ad. Still posts from your own IP.
Any ideas?

Re: hide your IP with Google's help
try translating from a different language? i dunno? works for me
and it only seems to work for the landing page, so if your posting an ad, post as per normal, until you get the ad form, and then copy/paste the full URL (eg: www.advertland.com/postadvert/ad/1244235) into the translate a web site box.

Re: hide your IP with Google's help
Ofcourse it has google IP.
Would be funny to spam other websites using google translator crawler.
I guess there was a POST possible as well ...
Could work well for a 30 or so times but as you know google blocks you If you give too many requests too fast
