Many manu thanks rocksolid! rep added ;)

I installed it but at step 3 the complete page doesnt seem to load. Just says its comunicated with the SQL database, then when i access it via /manage/index.php i can login and create my blogs & posts, but when i try to view them it keeps taking me back to the /manage/install.php, i've tried removing the install.php and sql.txt but no luck.
Also looking in the FTP it doesn't actually create any of the folders it's meant to (blog/blog_name).

Anyone got this working beyond this point?

At step 3, you have to wait until the installing process completes.
And, if you are installing BS in free hosting, I think it will be quite
unstable since BS is made for a paid hosting package.

Thanks BlackSeo, but i found that thread before, and already posted in it. My problem is the same as monann (in the other thread) where after the install, i can create blogs and posts, but when i try to click on them, i get a page 404 error, not found.
It's meant to create folders for each blog, but it doesn't create any.
Anyone actually using this software succesfully? Past the point i'm at?

it is the problem of .htaccess file, go to find out more info at google or read the user manual carefully.

All

I finally got it working after experiencing all the same problems.

You need to be running it with PHP 5

add this line to your .htaccess file at the top

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php

and then upload in ASCII format NOT Binary.

When you try to install you may get the message "Zend Optimizer Not installed".

Talk to your host to make sure Zend Optimizer is installed for you. When they sort that out baddabing....no more hanging on the ingredients screen and completes the install.

Worked for me anyway (after about 4 days of trying!)

Hope this helps

Chris

Hi

I am new here but I wanted to say a few things about this Blog Solution. I have just started using it and it seems pretty good so far. However, I did buy it. A friend of mine who is also using it and seems to know the developer said he is really getting down on cracked copies. Now I don't know if this is true but I just wanted to warn anyone.
It's too bad because I could have saved the money, lol. I have the cracked Content solution as well but I am afraid to try that and get caught. Additionally I found some templates on this forum and tried to use them but they must be from the earlier Blog solution version because they won't work.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Has anyone been able to use the cracked version?

Thanks and I am glad I found this forum
