He sends the files in a weird format that I can't use, since they're encoded in utf-8 format.

If you can help me UNencode the stupid txt files, so I can use them at least in wordpress, I will give you $10. Or I'll buy the guy's gig for you on your choice of keyword. PM me please if you can help me figure this out.

if you can't read the files because they are encoded, why did you by the guy's gig three times?

I can read the files, I just can't copy and paste them into any other sites without weird character encoding. Which I didn't notice until I'd gotten his package 3 times, and went and viewed the live version of some of the blog posts I'd put up on my sites (you know how it is when you have 50 sites to work with, sometimes it takes a while to notice what's happening on a micro level)

A little off-topic but 30 articles for $5 WTH !!!!

Open the file and click on "save as". Under encoding, choose ANSI and save it. Should work.

Right!! I'm pretty sure he's doing something weird in a different language, which is why they're encoded so weird when you get them from him. But they are in English when I get them, just encoded in a weird way so they're not usable in any online places like web 2.0 sites and such.

I pasted my text in there, and it spit out this message:
You did not include any bytes. Make sure you selected the right submission type.

Which I did, I selected the UTF-8 option. I can send any of you the text file I've got so you can see for yourself.

You can try it, when you disable the option in AMR "convert to ASCII".

But write the headline by your own, because sometimes it's used for the URL.

I tried it with encoded Articles two week ago, but most directories display it wrong.

Try downloading Notepad++, opening the file and looking at the "Format" menu at the top. There are some encoding conversion options there which I used before.

If you unencode them then they won't be unique articles anymore. If you are using wordpress paste them into the html editor instead of the visual editor and they will read like normal articles to your visitors.

Nope, doesn't work either. That's how I pasted in all of my articles, and when the posts went live, there was a bunch of weird characters (mostly ?s).

Try this:
Copy the article like you normally do.
Open up a blank notepad++
hit CTRL+N
Paste it
copy it again and paste it in your blog

Great idea, but still not working.

Ask the seller for an "HTML encoded" version of the articles then copn n paste them into the HTML tab on Wordpress.

I own a similar encoding service and if the seller won't do it for you I'll do it for free....but you've gotta give me a few days. My Internet is down until after the 5th and I'm just working off my iPhone for now.

That would be sweet man. I'm not in any rush, and I did ask him for the html encoded versions, and he won't give them to me, or can't, not sure which.

No prob man. When Comcast has installed my internet in the new place and I'm back up online I'll shoot you a PM with my email so I can convert the articles for you.

I'll also shoot you a temp login to my site where you can make your own articles and learn what this guy at Fiverr is doing.

If you've looked st SEO20's thread then u prob have a good idea. I had my web based platform custom coded, but it is pretty similar to the service offered here.

Guys this gig is bollocks, it only passes copyscape because of the encoded characters. Cheap little trick to fool people.

If you want to use it for AMR directly, then yes.

But if you deploy then into WP, it works like charm.
I've my own service using this technic and i use it together with WP Robot.

Just reject his work and get your money back. Its an obvious scam.
But now really, did you really thought you will get 30 unique articles for $5?

It's a little dirty trick to pass Copyscape only but even if you check manually you'll find some articles won't go through.

He copied the articles off some site and encoded it - simple as that. It won't pass Copyscape.

OP, is it too late to get your money back?

That said since it's only $15 if it doesn't mean that much to you you can just put it down to experience.

I'm essentially writing it off to experience, like you said dannym. I feel like it was partly my fault though, so I don't want to short the guy his money, since I am having someone take the articles he gave me and rewrite them and then submit them to Linkvana, so it wasn't a total waste.

why dont you simple ask the gig seller to provide you the articles in simple txt file and a seperate file for coded text as its impossible to post to sites which dont have character coding support.

He will be having the orignal files which he used to encode .hope this helps
