Default Which tool are you using for cloaking?

I already readed a little bit about maxmind for geolocalisation but i dont know if it's well applicable for cloaking.

What is the best tool to do it easily?

It depends on the type of cloaking you are doing.

If you want to detect geoip and send visitors from a specific area (country, zip code, etc) to one page and everyone else to another then using maxmind along with a cloaking script works.

If you want to detect search engine spiders by IP or by user-agent then a traditional cloaking script like Fantomas Shadowmaker, wpCloaker, and the like fits.

There are other variations - like detecting referrer, country code, custom cloaking by URL pattern, etc.

I am of course biased but the bottom line is that it depends on "how" you want to detect and differentiate one thing from another.

Really great clues man! Thanks a lot!

For cloaking, i was more talking about geolocalisation but you made me realise that it's a lot of things that can be worked around with it.

I didn't think BlogPig offered IP detection and other standard cloaking forms.

I thought it was just a link cloaker - which isn't the same thing.

    A firefox plugin?

I'm not sure if you understood my question well.

I wanted to redirect website traffic to a different content, depending on the area where they are coming from..

I dont see any link with a firefox plugin..

I'm nоt sure if уou'rе familiar with a tool called Easy Redirect Script - easyredirectscript.com

It hаs sеverаl types оf redirects built intо it
    - Standard type redirects
    - SEO redirects
    - Stealth Redrects (for affiliate link cloaking)
    - Stealth Page Redirects (in case уou wanted tо rewrite copy)
    - Promo Redirects - In case уоu wanted tо display аn ad beforе thе redirect

It is not а wordpress plugin, and уоur links will survive if the company evеr goeѕ out оf business (and уou cаn install іt on aѕ mаny domains аs уou like)...

Oh and іf yоu want sоme additional reporting thаn what thе tool provides, you can integrate wіth Google Analytics (this works wіth the Stealth Redirect, Stealth Page, and Promo Redirect)... (click on the links іn the signature)
Purchase web traffic from a professional company :

interesting product Typlo can this encrypt the source for the iframes to keep the users from seeing the iframe location? Not sure if base64 or any of that stuff would work when someone looked at the actual source code, made a php include would be better?

Interested in being able to blast massive links to private whois site and still capture leads without it pointing back to my main domain. Wouldnt be worried about the throw away info ranking just dont want my actual visitors or anyone else following the questionable content to see my money site directly.

Are you talking about domain cloaking or using an anonymous proxy to cloak yourself in visiting restricted websites?

If you really want to cloak yourself and making your IP anonymous to others, try PageWash.

Always amazed how many people think link 'cloaking' has anything to do with real cloaking.

Link 'cloaking' is nothing but making affiliate links look prettier (to say it in simple words)..while real cloaking is presenting spiders/Google something else as opposed to the visitor. It's two TOTALLY different things.

This is because real cloaking is for old timers, it was the talk of the town back when web 2.0 wasn't around and when search engines weren't so smart. Newer people in IM don't know much about it because the old timers who know about it are too old to update their facebook status saying, hey I'm cloaking

WP Traffic Tools, I'm surprised it hasn't caught on. Excellent reviews all the way around. It's an excellent plugin (for wordpress users).

We changed the semantics around to help out; so what the beginner believes to be cloaking is really masking, while cloaking, remains cloaking, but I like to call it spider/human management.

I'm an old timer then. Facebook....what's that.

I often wonder if one of us old timers created the whole "link cloaking" term to just confuse the hell out of noobs and everyone else. It's funny, the term cloak is cloaked.
