Need real cloaking advice - not a joke
Alright so I am new to SEO and web design but I'm catching on real quick. So far all my work has been strictly white hat - building websites, writing content based on keywords, and figuring out linking strategies.
That's all fine and good but if we can make serious money then let's do it.
Right now I am testing out a friend's cloaking program. (As in right this moment) It has a safe url for Google, then the real url for the users. I have no experience with AdWords but I do understand PPC.
I have no experience with cloaking though and want advice from real experienced cloakers.
Here's what I understand so far:
I can put up an easily approved site or LP just for Google
The real site or LP can be either fake news, advertorials, etc.
So is the only point of cloaking to get past reviewers with fake reports? I know there has got to be so much more to it than that. Is the whole reason they exist because Google doesn't like to approve affiliate shit on AdWords? I can see how the concept would be good for SEO but what about paid? I understand the basic concepts I am just trying to make things clear.
I know these are noob questions but it's hard to get real advice. (Obviously my affiliate managers and other forums won't even discuss this subject) So forgive my lack of experience. Believe me I'm figuring this out as fast as possible with or without anyone's help.
Please give your experiences with cloaking and AdWords. PM me if you would prefer and if you truly have the know how to really take this to the next level I will pay you for a skype consultation so we can discuss. Thanks blackhatters!

Re: Need real cloaking advice - not a joke
cloacking with adwords ? ... where's the point lol ... cloacking usually means provision ( automatically / or semi automatically ) of different version of content to visitors and search engines spiders ... [ even if masking affiliate long urls hidden with some shorter urls tends to be named also cloacking - it's not an real cloacking since the search engine spiders and humans experience same result(s) - the redirecting/permanent redirecting from one point to another one ] .
from what I understand from your post you just wanna hide affiliate links from the adwords employees ?
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Re: Need real cloaking advice - not a joke
So if after beta testing this cloaking device it does work...
It would only be useful to cloak as far as SEO?
That's fine since I could use it on my websites. However how would that work?
I could have keyword dense pages for big G but then show users a regular sales page?
Is the idea to create hundreds of automatic blogs all spamming the internet while Google thinks they are legit? But then how do you get ranking and all that?
Like I said I am now to SEO in general but definitely when it comes to cloaking. I put so much time into writing content in the first place why cloak it?

Re: Need real cloaking advice - not a joke
a) You get your pages ranked
b) When a human visitor comes with specific characteristics (e.g. referrer, country) -> redirect him to a different page

Re: Need real cloaking advice - not a joke
Cloaking with Adwords, is really really hard!
I did it back in my big Adwords days and let me tell you that if you don't constantly tweak, monitor and adjust your cloaking software, they will catch you sooner or later, probably sooner
Google employees that work in the Adwords department all use their cell-phones to check sites they think cloak, they have VPN's and all kinds of domains registred where they pay your site a visit over...
I wrote a post in Wickedfire about this topic, might be a good read for you:
(can't post urls yet, sorry )
Go to wickedfire and search for the thread titled: Testresults: Adwords IP & Hostname Cloaking

Re: Need real cloaking advice - not a joke
Hint: You can't cloak adwords by using IP or hostname. Forget about country, ip geolocation. They didn't works in 2011.
Reason: As explain by madsem, google employee can simply use a proxy, VPN or go to public WIFI to visit your website to find out the "real"/uncloak landing page.
However, these still a way to cloak your landing page. It's still working as of today. This is a closely guarded secret among ppc advertiser.
Cloaking is serving different page to adwords & visitor. It's not about hiding your affiliate link.
Why cloaking ?
Use landing page that google doesn't allow. Promote something that google doesn't like. Direct linking to your affiliate offer. Your imagination is your limit.
Can you imaging how much profit can you earn, if you can completely forgetting about adwords rule ? Do you miss those year 2006~2007, when adwords is still new, you can profit easily using adwords by direct linking your affiliate offer ?
If you have a budget for your ppc campaign, hit me up.
