Different Usernames In A Forum
Hey,
This guy knew exactly the other user names, I was using on a different forum.
How could he possibly do this, and he didn't look at my IP either?

Re: Different Usernames In A Forum
Maybe he used your email and was able to find out your other accounts.

how do you know for sure that he wasn't tracking your ip? were you using proxies or changing your ip? he could be tracking you through cookies or flash cookies even. were you clearing your cookies and cache? kind of hard to tell when you haven't provided much info.

I'm not sure at all actually.
I wasn't using proxies, or changing my ip, or clearing cache or cookies.
So yeah he probably tracked my cookies, if he didn't track my ip.

Re: Different Usernames In A Forum
It could be something as simple as seeing the same writing style on all username posts. Or a phrase you use in a particular way without noticing it your self.
Sometimes just a gut feeling can pick out multiple usernames by the same person.
It's not to terribly difficult to spot posts made by the same person under different usernames.
