Re: FKKKK - I have accidentally deleted my wordpress website
I use FileZilla and backup my important sites old school style but sometimes I get lazy. To automate you may need two plugins:
1. The WP-DB-Backup plugin to backup the database
2. WordPress Backup Plugin from Blog Traffic Exchange to backup the site itself.
Here's alink to agod post about the challenges of finding the right solution:

I would be interested in hearing other solutions as well.

I use iThemes BackupBuddy.
It's a paid option.

Re: FKKKK - I have accidentally deleted my wordpress website
wp-twin will make an exact copy of your site.. Even if it's very complex. It will maintain all theme settings, plugin setting, EVERYTHING.. It's AMAZING.. I promise.. You'll never use anything else.. Literally the only thing it does not copy is the blog title and tagline.
If you are moving a site to a new URL you'll just need to add two lines of code to your functions.php file... That's it.
It will save you a ton of time and you don't ever have to worry about a hacker again..

Re: FKKKK - I have accidentally deleted my wordpress website
thanks Flexnd
Update ===> Hostgator managed to restored my website data from 4th June which was good.. onlny lost about 10 posts... which I've managed to locate the information from good old GOOGLE Cached pages so all i had to do was copy and paste most of the information and created the same pages again..
Thanks everyone... Mostly Flexnd... WPTwin is an amazing tool... saves you alot of time and saves alot of money... comparing to other back up data sites....which requires monthly payment...I'm forever a WpTwin user....

@flexnds
Always keeping my eyes open for new solutions, so I have a couple of questions.
Do you need to make a new Mysql database with WPTwin?
Or is the editing you're mentioning really the only thing you need to do for migrating/copying a site.
What are the backup options? FTP, S3, server to server? Does it use cronjobs to do scheduled backups?

Re: FKKKK - I have accidentally deleted my wordpress website
@blackhit The edit i mentioned are all you have to do. It's all done through FTP. You have your clone file that you deploy.
Watch these two vids and you'll sh*t your pants.

I had some really complex sites that had been built over the course of year for a client with tons of plugins and mappress maps. It saved all of it. I had to move the site in the past and it took about 16 hours of work using the sql database method. With this plugin I was ready to rock the new site in about 5 mins..

Re: FKKKK - I have accidentally deleted my wordpress website
Don't feel bad...I did the same thing 6 months ago. Luckily, HostGator provided the back up for $15.
I then started using the WP backup feature and emailed it to myself. I created a folder in my email for the back ups and have it set for auto back up every Sunday.
I also create a back up and save it to the hard drive of my computer. You can never be too safe.
