I hang out in a couple of IM forums and in my signature I always link to my site using the google url builder.

Now that I am actively involved in a couple of forums, I'm toying with the idea on creating a landing page such that when the referring url is from foruma then the visitor will be shown some text that relates to foruma and an offer.

Would cloaking landing pages like this hurt my site? I would edit my robots.txt so this page is not indexed. Further more this page will be a full html page so it doesn't affect my regular wordpress site.

Would appreciate any inputs on this.

well it will not effect any ratings as many hosting companies do the same like on webhostingtalk companies like hostgator and many others .. so chillax and do the work
