Forum Content Generator
I own a somewhat successful forum that I want to take to the next level. I think an increase in the chat areas of the forum will help it immensely. Is their any software out their that will allow for a complete thread to be made. With posts looking like they are coming from multiple different members? The goal is to make the activity look higher then it is, to bring in the real activity.

Re: Forum Content Generator
There is something out there. I believe you might find it on here if you try a search. I can't remember the name off the top of my head. I have tried it on a test forum and it worked ok. You just put in keyword or phrase and how many threads and post you want it to post. I will go look for the name.

Re: Forum Content Generator
I tried Instadigi, to be honest it is trash. The content all comes from one other site, and isn't any good for 99% of the sites that would want it. This is only useful if your forum has 0 members on it and you just want to fill it with a bunch of fake content. If you have anything that is of any success, it doesn't do a good job as it doesn't match up real close to most sites. I am going to go ahead and build my own. As I can pull the data from more places, more accurate places, and thus have a better chance at making real data.
If anyone else has an idea on software that does it, please let me know. I would like to try some others.

Re: Forum Content Generator
There are a couple of scripts that will populate your forum with posts from Ya*hoo Ans*wers. They are here too, I just can't remember what they are called.

How long have you been using them and what kind of success have you had? Are you seeing increases in traffic and new, real users or do you just have a forum populated by a bunch of posts and no actual user base (if this was a forum that was just recently started)?

Re: Forum Content Generator
Anything like this for Joomla sites, or will I have to embed these in a shell?
Anybody have any experience with this?

Re: Forum Content Generator
I haven't found anything that posts to joomla's Fireboard. You can bridge vBulliten then use the automatic posters for it.

Re: Forum Content Generator
Does anyone has working version of Instadigi? This version gives me "Fatal error: This file has expired. in /mounted-storage/home24a/sub001/sc22148-DCWE/*********.net/Instadigi/index.php on line 0" error

Re: Forum Content Generator
There is a forum I frequent that has a script or software that pulls News articles relating the the forum's genre and auto posts them. I am not too sure of the software name though. It uses RSS feeds from what I can tell.

Re: Forum Content Generator
Now I see that we need newest version of the script

So who has it?
The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 30 characters.

Re: Forum Content Generator
The problem with all of them is they pull in a bunch of crap.
the api does not allow search specific, we have ours done for yahoo answers, and are working on another solution.
We also have a script for showing users online so your forum looks busy.
We are working on other solutions so it has been delayed, and gone through 3 programers already [sometimes the lance boards suck] as our programmer would not do it.

When the solution is in beta test I want to try it! But know I need another good auto content generator like Instadigi.

Re: Forum Content Generator
I have a forum script that will show your forum busy at all times. Plus it will showing a large number of members will show members bustling in and out everytime you refresh you set the limits. You must have posts for it to work and I have a forum poster with it that pulls off of yahoo answers, it must be a smf forum to be able to work with the counts the yahoo answers script will work with phpbb or smf.
The yahoo filler is not that great and you have to take care in what you search or you get a bunch of trash but it will post replys from users and answers from different users.
If your interested pm me total is 100 for both. I can show you an example if you like.

Jetconvo stinks. It doesn't work even when you follow the set-up videos and they don't respon to support tickets.
