Default Blank/fake referrer:

Is there any advantage to faking the referrers? As I have the option to do either, I'm just curious if it's worth the time. I was thinking that generating random referrers from a list would be best, but if blank works just as well, fuck it. Thanks.

Hey this might not be the place to ask, however how do you blank your referrers? I have read thread after thread and I still haven't figured it out. Any straight answers appreciated.

Ash

No, it's really not the place to ask. This is my thread just asking whether I'd be wasting time or not by faking random generations. This place is a good start on your question:

Whether or not there is a benefit to faking the referrer depends on what/who you are sending traffic to.

For some things, the absence of a referrer might draw suspicion. For others, perhaps not.

Thanks for your response, liamtohd. I don't have any knowledge of how much the referrers are scrutinized, and I prefer to err on the side of caution, but if it's deemed unnecessary because of a lack of scrutiny, I'd rather use my time for something else than being paranoid. In this case, the extra time seems worth it so far.

For peace of mind... I agree... err on the side of caution.

Much less time consuming than trying to replace a lost account, and/or lost earnings.

nicer1983, I wan't talking about cookie stuffing. You need at least 50 posts + 30 days to do that here, FYI. I was just asking a general question.
