Ok so I've heard a lot about cloaking and ghosting on these forums. I guess I've learned a little about them, but I'm sure other newbies and I want a clear answer. What exactly is cloaking and ghosting, and what they are used for?

I am new to this term myself but when we cloak an affiliate link I understand that we modify it so that it does not look like such an obvious affiliate link.

We do this to:
1) Hide it from the serps so it does not look like an affiliate site
2) Increase conversions (some people do not want to click affiliate links)

I would be interested to learn why gahoachma says cloaking clickbank links is a waste of time.
