On a more technical note, say webpage A has the link + tracking pixel.
If I send traffic from webpage B to webpage A, can they detect through the pixel that webpage B exists?
I know if a user clicks through on the link to the company site, they can obviously get the referrer as webpage A. However, can just bringing up the pixel on webpage A determine the referrer for THAT page?

It depends on whether or not their impression pixel is merely a pixel or a piece of JavaScript code. In most cases, if the pixel is just a pixel, the answer is no, they can't get referrer information.
