Question Alternative to *RSS*Ground* RSS Feed script/service

Folks,

Would anyone know if there an alternative to this RSS content/feed subscription service, please?

What I'm hoping for is a stand-alone script so that you're not "held hostage" by the subscription fee

You can read about it at hxxp://w3.*rss*ground.c0m
(Please change xx to tt, remove the * and change zero to o)

It is supposed to be able to generate code for your website, which then sends/serves the following feeds based on the keywords that you input:

1. Cl*ickbank RSS feeds
2. E*bay RSS feds
3. A*mazon RSS feeds
4. RSS feeds from more than 50 internet*resources (e.g. search results feeds, news feeds, blog feeds, image and video feeds, article feeds, etc.).

For the Programmers and Script developers: Alternatively, how hard is it to develop a stand-alone script that will be able to do this? Or am I way over my head because to run / operate this requires HUGE server resources on a recurrent basis?

Thank you

Cheerio

Definitely a very interesting concept I would also be interested in something custom ..

Depending on how many features you need -and for which purpose - you could reconfigure the following scripts for your use:

Hope this helps

There are things out there that do stuff like this and will post it on a blog, but I'm not sure what other sources they are. I'm not sure if that's what you necessarily need, but I could imagine it could be done in many different ways. I could create tools like this, but I would need details as far as what should go into it.

Essentially, this service or tool allows you to post rss feeds from e.g. clic k bang, A maz0n, e 3ay, newsfeeds and probably a couple of other content providers.

Obviously, affiliate marketers will have a field day with this, if they get good traffic and are able to convert.

Content website owners would also be thrilled as the feeds are automatically updated.

You're absolutely correct. There are some tools, scripts, APIs etc that allow you to do this, to some degree.

Maybe I'm just too cheap to "invest" in what might already be an excellent system

Thank you for checking it out

The hardest thing I can see in creating something like this on first glance is the Cl*ickBank portion. Last I checked they don't provide rss feeds of their catalog, only some form of giant daily data dump that would need to be converted into rss and then parsed for use. I looked into that a long time ago and it seemed like more hassle then it was worth to me, but then again I think CB products are 99% garbage and don't promote much from them, so I could be biased.

For everything else though, eb4y, Am4z0n, news, images, videos, articles and etc. getting keyword based rss feeds is easy, you just need ways to parse those feeds into on-page content, and there are a bunch of free snippets in javascript, PHP and ASP out there if you can't code from scratch.

Hiya scb335,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

Would you or any other folks know of any other ways aside from what I've tried:

a) Find an RSS feed (usually in xml or looks like http://thefeeddomain.com/rss/keyword=yourkeyword).
Of course, these feeds are also available to e3ay and A maz0n affiliates.

b) Use an online RSS integration script to convert the feed or URL into either
javascript, php, or even HTML so that you can paste, embed, or
upload the the feed into a webpage in your website.

I know some folks are able to use APIs from a variety of services or sites to add
content to their own websites but in many instances, I think you need to be
somewhat skillful in coding (which I'm not).

I'll stay tuned for more, hopefully

Cheerio

Where are the feeds being posted? I already have some stuff that I use currently that will read the feeds and post by hand. I could add something that would make it possible to post the feed automatically. I would just need to know where they would be posting to.

Didn't have time to review RSS Ground but how about BlogSlammer Server Edition?

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...ogs-click.html

It's a one time buy and resides on an ASP.Net hosting platform for your Wordpress blogs to pull and autobuild. This tool regenerates RSS feeds from any RSS source to build unique feeds.

That's interesting, although I'm not too clear what you meant by "where they would be posting to"

I think generally, I might want to be able to:

1) select/find feeds based on keyword(s)
2) get the rss feed list (i.e. the list of titles)
3) Have a means to display the feeds on my website pages by converting the feeds to javascript or php, or html, which are then pasted or embedded on webpages in my website. I think this is pretty much how rss gr0und works and it seems to be a useful service. My only problem is that the feeds on your website rely on having to draw content from the rss gr0und website.

Please have a look at and try it out to see what I mean :
hxxp://click*bank.rss*feedsg*enerator.c0m/
(change xx to tt
remove *
change zero to o)

The search continues ...............

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Thanks for mentioning BlogSlammer.

I did look at this before but as I understood it, BlogSlammer does not or can't pull or regenerate affiliate feeds with your affiliate ID in it, would that be right? I couldn't find or figure out if there's a way to enter your affiliate / EPN/a store IDs in the blogslammer control panel

What I mean is that I probably can't have e3bay, Am az0n, or clic k bank feeds/products with my affiliate /epn ID shown inside BlogSlammer generated rss feeds?

Or perhaps I've missed out on a good solution in BlogSlammer all along

Appreciate your sharing your thoughts

Cheerio.

What I can provide to you is something like this:

1.) You can provide a list of RSS feeds that you can add to a cpanel of some sort, which you can find these RSS feeds on your own through the Google RSS directory

2.) -- One of your choice, or both if needed --
The feeds would be converted to in a PHP page that could be called from an iframe or we could work out a javascript/PHP call that you could make on your site through an API that I would create

-- or --

If your site is a wordpress site, there is the XMLRPC that you can post to with a publisher account that would allow you to have an auto poster as the feeds come in

3.) Keyword replacer - I've seen some auto blog posters that will replace containing keywords by your choice with something else that would make your content look or appear as "unique" to a crawling spider. For example, if you wanted to replace all "home based business" with "home based opportunities," I could make this happen.

4.) Automated solution to crawl RSS feeds that you specify to check on a schedule (that you could possibly time on your own) to find new feeds to post on your site. RSS feeds generally update every X hours / days / minutes. Being up to date on this would be the ideal way to automate not having to go in and post by hand

----

Compenstation for my time: I am not a big fan of writing code for someone, but if you want to pay the price, I'd be willing to do it. I foresee this being a huge loss of profit for me if I built this for you to run with on your own. Not to mention, I have to support it by making sure your host will give you no problems by running it.

I could save you $ by charging you a fix monthly $ (which I know you're afraid of) but I can assure you that I'm a business owner that would not offer such a service if I didn't feel I could support you or your requests. The best advantage point that I see (and why I prefer this) is on my own server I have a "controlled" environment that I know I can make it work.

I have some other ideas if you would like to pursue this that we could discuss privately that would satisfy your request. I am always open to suggestion. I'd also like to discuss the deciding objections you might have.

Message me if you want more detail.
