Hi, there are ways to hide the referer OR set the referer as being a specific page.
When a person clicks on a link on one page to go to another page the referer will be the page where the person clicked. So in answer to

In this instance the referer *will be* the page where the person clicked through.
Referer leak happens when you force a user through from one site to another site automatically without forcing the person to click on a link. e.g. Meta refresh, Javascript document.location / server-side redirects etc will all leak the referer.
