How Do You Choose ClickBank Products??
So I'm new to this whole affiliate marketing thing and I've been trying to develop a standard as far as choosing products on ClickBank goes. Here's what I do.
Must have vendor spotlight page.
Gravity: 20 - 100+
Avg. $/sale: 20 - 150+
Initial $/sale: 0 - 20
Avg %/sale: 75%
I figure it needs to have some gravity but not too much, I don't want a lot of competition. The initial sale should be super low because people like cheap stuff but a higher price after that to get some actual money out of it. And then of course I may as well choose from the high amount of products that sale at leat 75% of the time.
Of course this is only getting me two results for background checks and reverse phone look ups. (Super niche)
So what do you think? Too strict? What do you do that gets you success?

Re: How Do You Choose ClickBank Products??
To be honest, at the moment i'm not being too picky cos' i just wanna see some sales as i'm just starting out.
The main thing i'm looking for at the moment is a product with somewhat high gravity. I know you say you don't like all the competition but these products must be selling right?

Re: How Do You Choose ClickBank Products??
For the past week I've been constantly researching amazon affiliate marketing. But just recently I decided against it because the 4% commission rate is way too long.
Now I'm considering clickbank marketing since, apparently, there's more money in that. I too have the same questions as OP.

"If you chase two rabbits, you'll lose them both".
If you're just starting (like I am really), it's better to focus on max couple products and do them well. Sure I have thrown few YouTube videos of random products and gotten lucky sales, but for my main niche I'm ranking pretty good IMO in search engines. This is going to bring is some nice cash later on this year - I know this for sure.
And you don't want too much gravity, since while yes it does sell, but you're up to guys that just plain dominate all the search results - so no matter how much you could potentially sell, you get zero to none sales since your ad won't show up anywhere.

I see what you mean, although i don't intend on taking 'the big boys' i may choose a gravity of no more than 200. On the other end though i see some really crappy sales pages on the lower gravity products, not all but some....
