Hi, i'm kind of a newb here.
After looking at the threads, i was woundering how you guys get traffic to your website or blog and how do you guys promote the product to get good conversions?
Is having a domain name better or a blog would do? I've promoted 2 products and I only get like 1-2 visitors per day...LOL

while this is obviously ideal, unfortunately your going to have a tough time doing this, especially with "making money" or over saturated niches.

Your best bet is PPC Campaigns through adwords to see if your product actually converts.

Fine tune the landing page until it converts well.

If it is converting then affiliates will naturally promote your product.

Invest in a $15 domain because I know personally I wouldn't promote a product being hosted on a blogsite.

A great way is to google your keywords..

Let's say you promoting a how to build a birdhouse ebook

google the term "how to build a birdhouse" then contact the owner of the first 3 pages on google asking them to be an affiliate. give them an ad to put up etc

Erm, actually i'm an affiliate trying to promote other people's stuffs...traffics aren't good, i only get 1-2 views PER DAY...and that is really a sad case. I tired promoting my links on twitter and Facebook.

Try out forum posting method now. Hope it will bring in more traffic soon.

I've tried out fiver but nobody seems to purchase my gig...
My gig is something like selling tweets or followers..etc...

How many are you offering? If you offer a tweet to 2000 persons, you are badly overpriced since others can send out the same tweet to 200,000.

Emailing your offer to opt-in list seems to work quite nice - but not for cold calling (e.g., just scrape emails from Google and spam them - illegal also in most places).

Personally I've chosen low competition products, or products that are related to a product that is due to later this year (one that I know will sell like... well... drinking water to a man on a desert).
To my amazement, the #1 product for me is really low competition, despite the fact that we're talking about millions of sales within the next 6-12 months - guaranteed! I've been "in the business" for bit over couple weeks, and currently I rank number for for exact keyword (and all the close variations) in YouTube, Yahoo and Bing (yeah, I know, nothing to brag about, but still...). On Google I'm still climbing, but at least on the first page already. I'm taking it easy with link building since this is my first real site.

I used to have decent success on Yahoo Answers, especially with the Level 2 accounts. You might need quite a few accounts after a while because some people on there flag your ad.

Very Simple, here is exactly how I do my stuff, and it works!


1-Get a domain name(.com if possible) that is keyword rich to your niche.

2-Forward your clickbank affiliate link to your domain(If you don't know how to do that then Pm me if you want)

3-Create a Facebook page in the niche you are promoting.Fill in all the infos stuff and things so that it looks more professional.Put your domain name and add pictures weekly. Update your status everyday and give tips, information, and then leave your domain name.

4-Promote your page with Facebook ads.Don't forget to target your audience. You don't wanna try to sell a skin-care products to a 56 y.o men...

5-That's about it. It's dead simple.Right now I'm having clicks for 0,05$ on Fb and getting ''likes'' every 2 min, 24 hours a day. That means GOOD ROI!

what about organic traffic from google to your website... wouldnt this be the best way?
