Okay, first, let me get this out of the way: I am a complete CB noob, at least when it comes to being a vendor.

Last week, I launched a new product in the self-help niche. It was added to the marketplace on Friday and, so far, I've sold...eerrrr... zero copies. Not only that, but there have only been 30 hops to it.

Now, I know that the product is great and it's not overpriced. Similar products are doing quite well in the marketplace and mine offers more bang for bucks.

So, I'd just like to ask any established CB vendor: How do you attract affiliates?

I'm planning on launching a PPC campaign today to, at least, get rid of that "no sales yet" thing on my product's listing. It might motivate affiliates to promote it.

Any thoughts?

What is your product? Maybe i can help although Im new at being affiliate lol

Tune up your copy, do some split testing, make sure the page is quality, then look for affiliates when you have a proven product.

And yeah, do some PPC if you've got something that converts.

Think about the situation as if you were an affiliate. What things would matter to you?

I am sure these following this would cross your mind:
- Conversion rate
- Commission
- Maybe some kind of customer profile (to help to target their sites and pre-selling)
- Knowledge what the product does (not just based on the sales page)

So, to help with those you could:
- Report your conversion rate. Maybe also the sources of traffic.
- State the commission.
- Describe who the target customers are, why would this product be good for them (instead of other products) and what the product can do for them.

If you have all that information as an affiliate, you know better if your product suits their existing audience/list/whatever or at least they know how to target their material better in order to sell your product.

Oh, another thing: help your affiliates out. Give them an affiliates page with info/resources that will be helpful to them. Can't recommend specifics because I don't know the product.

But yes, the most important thing is a sales page that converts. If your sales page doesn't convert, you won't get any decent affiliates.

There are two EASY ways to make getting affiliates easy:

1. Work on your offer to ensure it converts well, and
2. Offer high commission percentages.
