I am just curious as to how much it costs to get a clickbank product up and running on average. I am interested in becoming a clickbank vendor but I am just afraid that it costs a lot more money than it does to just become an affiliate, or some amounts close to what it takes to become a CPA advertiser (xx,xxx)

Depends, I have spent anything from $150 to $20,000 to get one up and running.

All depends on your own skills and how much you are going to outsource, anyone can throw together a simple ebook and sell it with a wordpress template but don't expect to sell much this way.

CB charges $49.95 activation fee per product. They deduct 7.5% + $1 from each sale. There is also $2.5 payout fee. Don't forget affiliate commissions.
You will also need to invest money in creation and promotion of product.

There isn't one. CB just takes a small fee out of each sale you make, which is $1 + 7.5% of the selling price.
