Question about conversion
I'm following meathead's method of "seo-jacking." So far, I've managed 62 total views on my three-day-old website, but only 3 hop clicks have been made. I've been driving targeted traffic, but 90% of the views have only been on the home page.
So is it the content? I wrote two product reviews and a rewritten article of tips. I've been going down the personal blog route.
Or maybe the appearance? I'm currently using the 2012 WP theme, to keep it amateur.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Question about conversion
There are way too many factors that we don't know, so we can't determine the cause.
In general, make sure you have :
1. quality traffic
2. quality landing page with lots of outlinks to sale
Work on quality traffic first. You can easily test quality landing page.

Re: Question about conversion
"Quality" traffic is mostly driven from targeted audiences from Yahoo Answers. I'm not sure if Yahoo Answers count as quality, but it's the best source so far.
Quality landing page is probably something I could work on more.

Re: Question about conversion
Seems to not be quality traffic.
I'm following the seo-jacking method exactly as meathead advised - through "g"alerts on blogs/forums/news articles within my niche, plus a fb ad that i used a free $50 voucher from godaddy on when I set up the site. Site started on 22/12, in 7 days 54 uniques, 14 hops, 2 form impressions 1 sale. I have gone down the route of a niche site though, giving away free info and a .pdf which may look more professional than a review site.
Oh ya, my bounce rate is now well below 60%

Re: Question about conversion
Go well with a professional look, rather then personal. Cos, personal won't convert, since people think there will be nothing to search for, other than advises in personal blogs.

Re: Question about conversion
Are your rhetorical efforts optimized with conversion in mind? General tips and/or articles are fine, but there has to be that implicit persuasive underpinning.
