New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
Hi Guys,
I've been in IM for years, but this is my first Clickbank product. Very excited to finally get going with it. I know it's by no means perfect, but I've done my best on the sales page for the moment - waiting on a bunch of testimonials from my friends too... Will keep making changes as time goes by to test conversions. I'm sure there's a lot more that I could be doing and no doubt you Clickbank veterans will have plenty to critique... but be nice!
Here it is....
www datinglikeaboss com
I'm about to launch it properly with a partner who's going to drive 1,000+ targeted hops per day from a large network of lads' entertainment sites that he owns. So, once I've got some sales and EPCs etc. to shout about I'll put together an affiliate page on the site and share that with you here.
I'm just looking for some pointers if anyone cares to share, and I'd be delighted if anyone would like to give it a go as an affiliate already. Comms are 70% and the HopLink format is as follows:
hxxp:// affiliate.centrality.hop.clickbank net
I know it's a very saturated niche, but I'm quietly confident about the product that I've created as it's a new take on online dating (it does have all the standard profile optimisation stuff too of course)- basically the system enables you to automate the online dating process.
Hopefully conversions will be good!!
Thanks!

Also, does anyone have any experience with JV notify pro? Is it worth listing my product there?

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
Hi, sales page looks good but that 'pencil' guy looks completely out of place on header and on product. Maybe it s fav cartoon of your's but imo should get rid of that.

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
Well, the cartoon is actually an internet meme and is said 'boss' referenced in the title of the eBook. I still think it's relevant to keep him in there for now, but I'm willing to change branding if it increases conversions... Thanks for the feedback though bestmate, appreciate it...

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
I like the shining light efect around the girl at the top.
As for your site try having a longer copy, it seems too short.

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
Thanks Veronika, I thought the copy might be too short in comparison to other sites.
I'm amazed how much waffle people put in on sales pages, though. I would never buy something that went on and on like many people do - I'd always look for the salient benefits and that's it. I suppose people wouldn't make long sales copy unless it works, though?

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
My first post here
I'm starting with Clickbank today too so I'm browsing and observing. One thing I've seen that has turned me off of a lot of vendors is the huge walls of texts just like you were saying but I guess they do work.
The attention span of regular customers has to be immense for them to get through to the bottom though, it took me a few seconds to even scroll down let alone read the entire page.
I guess I've always been one to think less is more and Keep It Simple, Stupid worked best.

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
I have to agree with an above post that the pencil drawing guy looks really, off.
I understand he looks all "boos status" and is part of the identity of the product, but just seems a bit too.. unsexy and childish, in a way. Idk.
But looks good other than that!

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
I can identify with the cartoon character because I've been on FourChan which is where that drawing is used a lot. Anyone who is familiar with FourChan's boards (especially /b/) will instantly recognize it.

Yeah, this is big on FourChan and r3ddit. So it seems that this is a product for the "younger" crowd. Question is, does the younger crowd have $50 to spend on this kind of product? Possibly.

Answer is probably NO. And they are computer savvy, so can Google torrent downloads etc.
Exciting Opt-In in a drop box is missing. Keep in mind a lot of affiliates will skip over promoting you because of this but if you want an opt in and have a proven system they will get over it.

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
Thanks for the constructive criticism guys. I'll give it a week with the current branding and if it doesn't convert well I'll consider changing it. I'm happy with the name, nonetheless, as it's quite catchy. I'm confident with the product... the automation methods work amazingly and I spent quite a while creating good original content. If anyone wants to give it a go I'd be very happy. If you want to hold back until I can report on EPCs etc. that's fair enough...
Thanks again!

What do you mean about opt-in drop box by the way? I have an opt-in form at the bottom of the page. Do you mean something different? Exit splash or something?

For JV notify pro, it is mostly for IM niche, I'm not sure is it worth to list your product there.

Re: New Clickbank Product to Dating Niche
Thanks woodraz. Is there anywhere else you'd recommend? I know Warrior forum costs $100 - do you think it's worth it?

Opt in at bottom of page is pretty useless. Try a straight squeeze page, will turn off some affiliates scared of losing commission but will be better for dating niche. Or you can try what's called dropbox or dropshadow in Aweber. It comes down, rest of page is shadowed until they enter email or click X. Also I think exit splash is BEST for dating niche but what do I know? It's whats worked best for me being affiliate. Just sayin'
