Hi guys, I'm pretty new to IM, only started about 5 months ago with Adsense and have managed to make more than I thought I would (which was 0). My original goal was to make $5 a day per website and I ended up making anywhere between $25 - $60 per day on my first website. I guess I got lucky.

Anyway, I've been wanting to move on to CPA because it looks like a more reliable source of income, I don't really like the idea that 'G' can whoop me off Adsense anyday and there goes all my income in one go.

Clickbank looks promising, lots of interesting products to promote!

My question is, what methods of advertising have you's found to be better for you, paid traffic or natural search engine traffic providing ranking is no less than 1st on 'G' ?

Natural search engine traffic works for me.

I recommend SEO traffic as it is more organic and reliable..Paid traffic can be good for achieving short term goals where as SEO traffic has more advantages in long term. You need to apply proper SEO tactics to bring the visitors on your website and maintain their interest through various methods which encourage them to keep coming back on your page.

if you have SEO experience, do it, create some review site and sale your products. And if you have big pocket you can use paid traffic like facebook Ads, adwords,...

Depends on who you ask. Some will always go for SEO traffic, like Kelly Felix (aka "Rich Jerk").

Others will always go for paid traffic, like Jonathan Mizel.

Like any industry, you have different schools of thought.

Its better to try for SEO traffic as compared with the natural one. You can also try paid traffic once you have earned a few bucks.

I prefer free organic traffic and I make nice income by promoting new clickbank product launches. Some products bring incredible commissions.

If you are planning to do a review sites and target the product names you better go with SEO. a lot of them doesn't like bidders on their product names.

PPC for short term. Spend profits from PPC on SEO. Profit :-)

Instead of spending money on PPC why not hire SEO experts? Unless you have funds for both

You got to try both.

For SEO traffic need time to build up. Need to find out which target keywords to use first. And build backlinks to power up to search engines page 1 #1.

For Paid traffic can get traffic almost instantly to page 1 and ads #1. If you set higher per click pricing.
And this also allow you to try those buying keywords to find out which buying keywords you will get the most clicks. And then you may use that as the target keywords for SEO traffic.

deffo SEO, i messed up with my latest site and just spammed it with 200+ backlinks that arnt related to the product but if i was to start again i would just go for High PR targeted backlinks and articals

SEO traffic, invest on list building, there is where most of the sales will come.

Use both to maximize ur earning. PPC is quite difficult to start with. but once you're good at it , $$$ will be rolling . SEO is easy to learn but not that reliable.

Natural search engine works the best for me, more trust by the user finding your site sitting at number 1

But what you should do is diversify into multiple ways to get traffic, seo, affiliates, etc...

I assume you're Lvl 2. How did you manage to get your affiliate links into the answers?
