Re: New Sales Page Converts 1 in 29 Hops
OK thanks for getting back to me. It's a product that I've had around for about a year now but have only in the last two weeks really found my feet with it. It's called A.S.A.Piano.
I know it's a good product because the people who have bought it tell me it is. It shows complete beginners how to quickly play a repertoire of 12 cool songs on piano using a system that myself and my niece (a piano teacher) have developed.
Yes there's loads of stuff on youtube but most of that is pretty poor TBH.
We've just redone the sales page with new videos, hence the upserge in sales the past couple of weeks. Not sure if I can post a link but here goes: www.asapiano.com
Thanks
Shayman

1 in 29 is decent for cold traffic for what you're selling in my opinion.
Don't be satisfied with it though. Now it's time to start testing elements and approaches. Download Ryan Deiss's 43 split tests and use that as a starting place to know what elements to test (also learn how to use google's website optimizer or similar tool to speed up testing. That's also explained in that download I think. It's easy though).
Cheers

1 in 29 is 3.4% which is very good. I promote IM products which generally convert at 1%-2% for me. However, since you have such few hops, don't pull out the cigar and champagne to celebrate yet. Check your conversions after 1000-2000 hops to see if you can maintain your conversions.

1 in 29 is a pretty good conversion rate for their niche. From my past experiences, it can range from 2-10%, and this, of course, also depends on type of traffic and if you are using additional landing sites to pre sell as well.
Like someone said, wait till you have a ton of hops to get your real conversion rate (law of large numbers), and test test test. You have nothing to lose by testing and reverting back to the old format if it doesn't work out.

Totally agree and have been making small tweaks here and there daily. Something that did seem to make a distinct difference was formatting the whole course for iPad - something that if anyone is reading this should consider if promoting a product. In fact even if you know that your product is iPad friendly it's worth stating( my little tip)...they're a strange breed those iPad users....very cliquey
