I've seen a couple people do this, so I know it's possible, but being a novice as far as coding is concerned, I have yet to figure it out.

I'll use an old example.

Back a couple years ago, I promoted Maverick Money Maker, by Mack Michaels. The vendor ID for this was 'maverick66'. However, somehow, I also made sales to 'maverickco' in the same email blast. It would appear that even though I promoted one offer, I was getting sales from two vendor accounts.

I'm assuming it would have to be done in .htaccess, I suppose. How would I, if I so chose, do this? Suppose my vendor ID is 'vendor1', but I wanted to also allow affiliates to make sales for 'vendor2' via promoting the 'vendor1' hoplink. What would I need to do?

Are you sure it just wasnt the Vendor having different offers for the same product?

Eg i have made sales for a product when some one buys it ourright and also made commission when some one goes for a 7 day trial and also upsells after the initial sale.

might just be thesame cookie/hop is linked to multiple offers.

I have seen this on both Clickbank and Plimus.

(Something Skagenweb refuses to offer his affiliates but claims is not possible...off topic i know LOL)

It was two distinct vendor IDs with which I had made sales. I didn't even know one of them existed, but in order for me to have made sales through that second vendor ID, I obviously would have needed a cookie placed for it.

Pure and simple cookie stuffing. I can't recommend a current software.
But if you get your own coded it shouldn't cost much lol.

A simple admin area where you setup a campaign.
Add affiliate urls
Add blanking options/site
and a simple geoip matching from say the maxmind db.
and then you generate your drop link/flash/iframe whatever you wish.

How does a vendor stuff the cookie? He didn't know my affiliate ID beforehand or anything.

I blasted the affiliate link with my affiliate ID and his first vendor ID. Somehow, in that blast, I got sales from his second vendor ID, even though I certainly didn't stuff anything, and he wouldn't have even known my affiliate ID far enough ahead of time to drop that second cookie.
