Default Considering setting up a CB site....

I might do a website based around selling CB products but I have a question.

Would a single landing page work? or should I do a site with quality content and just ad ads to it?

basically what is the preffered medium for CB? Full blown regularly updated sites? single pages? blogs?....

never worked with CB but hear good things about them so would like to get started. thanks.

I would do a review type site with one item per page and a write up about how great it is. Might even do it as a WP blog then add posts as new CB products come out that you want to promote and separated as categories.

I agree with Bill. Single landing pages won't work imo.

Hey Rocsk79,
I was in the same boat as you. Which one to do? So I did both. I'm doing testing now with ppc to the single page h**p://guygetsgirltoday*info/pick-up-guides/how-to-pick-up-women*html and a mini site with multiple (yet related) CB products. I also included a shareasale product banner on a couple pages and last but not least a opt-in box to capture emails if all else fails. I've structured the site h**p://guygetsgirltoday*info in a sales funnel with a next step at the bottom or a call-to-action to download the CB product now. It's still early as I have less than a month of this being up and promoted. Doing video + article marketing now.

Just a few pointers on general surfer/buyer psychology. I'm not a clickbank expert although I have run a few CB items and made a few bucks.

If you do reviews, don't give them all a positive rating. People want to feel like the reviewer is being honest with them. The best way to do that is to nicely trash one or two products and give decent reviews of the others. You also need to be aware that there are various ways to review. you can be the next door neighbor who had a similar problem (couldn't get girls, had man-boobs, whatever) who tried everything and just wanted to share what you found, or you could be the professional, scientific type who, for the sake of all man kind, took it upon yourself to reveal the truth.

Different buyer groups will respond to each type of review. No matter what your product, you should test both to see which one gets a better response. This is true with any product by the way, not just cb stuff.

As for adding banners or adsense or whatever to the site, there are mixed feelings about this. One camp says, "Hey, if they don't buy, at least they click a banner when they go so I make something!". The other camp says, "I don't want them to be able to escape my site without at least going to the sales page so my cookie gets set."

I tend to fall into the latter camp. Based on my tests I get better conversions when there are fewer "escape valves" on the site. However, if you plan on advertising through google, your quality score can take a big hit for doing this so having outbound links to expert sites, news articles etc. can help your quality score which in the long run might make the campaign more profitable through the Big G, even if you lose the occasional surfer to some other site or affiliate.

Good luck with it.

Agree, make the ratings look realistic by throwing in a negative review (i.e. don't give everything a "this is the greatest thing in the world, you must buy" etc). Make sure you split test the hell out of it.
