Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
First of all I would like to commend you on the time and energy you took to answer all these questions with real actionable info.
The main time bandit for me and I'm guessing most every other person trying to make a profit is the wandering style and multitasking behavior we use to surf the net for information. After reading your answers I can see a well thought out plan for anybody to follow and some day make a profit. Just get the heck off the forums and blogs and start working. Stop reading and start creating. I can see you have a good personality trait to stay focused on one thing until it works. This is why you're making a profit while the rest of us (most of us) continue reading and learning but not creating and profiting.
Regarding your opt-in technique with other affiliate products (not your own). Do you have any problems with getting emails from the same customers your affiliate is getting? Isn't that the same thing as competing for the same keywords? It's probably not a big deal but have you received any complaints from your affiliates to stop using the opt-in on your pre-sale?
You mentioned going to the Library to research info for your own products. Can you elaborate in a bit more detail or provide a couple more resources about how to create your own info product? Also it seems you're giving away a lot of free teaser info within your auto responder. That's a lot of content. Do you have in house writers and researchers for your info gathering and writing.
As far as auto responders go I'm guessing aweber is the best. Is it worth trying to use a different auto responder without a recurring fee or is it really worth it to use aweber? As a beginner it's a bit hard to judge how much you need to spend each month against how much you will make or lose each month. That's why it might be better to start without recurring fees in the beginning until you start cash flowing.
Thanks for your time!

Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
Hey man,
Excellent thread, this rocks. I don't usually get stuck reading a thread but I just read this whole dam thing.
Couple of questions.
What kind of a free product to you giveaway most of the time to get the email of the lead? Can you giveaway to much information and overwhelm in your experience? Also Video or report?
How long on average do you spend on a particular niche before you move onto the next?
Finally what is your work day like? Do you dedicate a certain amount of time out of it to create products? Any jobs you have made an every day habit that you see as absolutely necessary?
Cheers

Thank you Gonzo for putting this thread together. 20k in 20 days was a great read as well. It motivated me to get off my butt and make JVs and affiliates happen. I think your thread is going to completely change my business model.

Hi, thanks for great thread.
I have one question about the copy as an affiliate. Do you have any course to recommend about copy writing for an affiliate?
Thanks

Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
hey! Thank you for this thread, made me go into cb affiliate marketing. I do have a question though.
I found a niche and build a wordpress blog on it. Grabbed about 20 keywords (found with google and market samurai) and made a blog post on any of it. Mentioning the keyword about 5-10 times on any blog post. Didn't start to build backlinks yet.
Some of my keyphrases are almost the same. Would you recommend post an article to any keyphrases anyways? Using the same text on about 4 keyword posts (replacing the keywords for any post, rest is exactly the same text) or sum them up (or redirect)?
E.g: Someone searches for "best dog food" and "good dog food" and gets redirected to 2 different blog posts with the same text with keywords replaced or optimize one blog post for both of them? or redirect one of them?
Thanks

Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
oh I have posted a thread about a query but I guess I should posted it here. Here I have again posted:-
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...roduct-cb.html
Here I'm asking to CB gurus to tell me a method how to find hottest selling CB product. I know we can find by gravity or with cbengine but I need most targeted product.
Also I'm promoting the thing on FB so please let me know the most suitable product according to FB criteria. to clear on FB it doesn't work on keyword basis it works on locations or age group basis. If anyone hesitate to post here then please PM me.
btw I'm already promoting DSP and mike garys thingy but still I'm not making a killing with these products which I suspected.

Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
I have a CB product that I'm trying to promote. I have a HUGE email list that are 100% niche related. My question is this, can I just drop my affiliate link in the email for them to click through, or do I need to create a landing page?

Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
Hey Gonzo,
Many Many Thanks to you, for all of your wisdom. I've read through this thread a couple of times. I'm new to all of this and I have a really simple question, so I'll try and keep this short. I understand the benefits of using wordpress as a review site and that its best to set it up as an Opt-in page.
Here's where I'm not following the logic. Lets say, I'm wanting to set up my wordpress review site (from the start) so that it is Optimized for Organic Searches. If I'm wanting to set this up correctly for SEO purposes then I (for example, if the keyword I want to Target is ("Purple Jelly" ) then I should set up my wordpress account as
(example: www.purplejellyreview.wordpress.com)??? Is this correct?
I'm also seeing several references saying to register a domain name? I'm not following the reasoning here? This is what I don't understand, if I go out and register the domain www.purplejellyreview.com (remember my keyword is purple jelly and I have already created my wordpress review account as www.purplejellyreview.wordpress.com.)
Now correct me if I'm wrong but, I'm supposed to then redirect the www.purplejellyreview.com domain to the www.purplejellyreview.worpress.com domain???
My question is, how does the Domain I registered (www.purplejellyreview.com) help in any way with Organic searches or getting page ranked. Its simply a redirect to a wordpress review site! There is No Title, No hosting, No Tags, No Content, Nada, Nothing! The wordpress review site contains all the content! This is the part that is confusing me and the Correct answer to this question, would be greatly appreciated.
Again why am I registering a seperate domain name and since there is no content, how exactly does that help with Optimizing organic searches. I know this seems like an SEO question but I'm all about Click Bank and I'm just wanting to set up everything correctly in the beginning!
Also what if the Key word you actually want to target is a long tail keyword, would that matter at all? Keyword Example: (getting rid of Purple jelly bugs)
Sorry if I'm confusing anyone and I just want to say Thanks in advance for anyone and everyone's input here on this thread!

I haven't tried it since I'm just starting out, so this is just theoretical speaking, but I think creating a landing page to track how many clicked on the link in the email wouldn't be a bad idea. This way you could get some statistics.

How well do banners actually work for you? I am interested in putting a banner on a niche forum, extremely targeted traffic for the product I want to promote. My ad would be displayed 4000 times a day.

Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
Hey gonzomcribbinz,
I was just checking where I've been getting a couple of hits a day from on my farmvilleguidereview and I discovered this post.
It's funny, I put that site up a year ago when I got back into IM and then abandoned the project for a "bright new shiny" strategy. Now I'm rethinking a further development of the guide sites, now that I got another review site for WOW guides, through an attempt at another "bright new shiny" strategy posted somewhere here, seo jacking. Weird how everything is tying together.
Notice the links at the bottom of the farmvilleguidereview page? I planned to do a whole bunch of review sites but I was building the sites in a ten year old copy of Dreamweaver and it was tedious. Soon after I discovered the magic of Wordpress.
Anyway... I don't know anybody personally who does this stuff (I'm really a writer/director in Hollywood scratching around for something resembling a career) and my wife's eyes glaze over when I talk to her about IM so I hope you don't mind me sharing.
Thanks again for posting my website and also for the personalized advice!!! The suggestions you made will be going to the top of my list of things to do.
Jack

Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
I have a general question regarding clickbank... Are all those products on there in some way really "working"? E.g. those unlimited movie download or these "legal" game download offers, are they working in some kind of way or can I just make some bs product up and sell a Windows 3.1 Version as Windows 9 Light?

Re: ITT: Feeling Generous. Answering CB Questions
First off, Thanks for starting such an amazing thread
.
I am trying to be a CB Vendor. Currently, I am following the Empire Formula. How do you get traffic to your own products (Your a vendor right ?).
How do you get affiliates = Gravity at about 50 - 60? After that, I will sell the site for atleast XX,XXX$.
