Default The usual scam - any risks?

I'm a bit new to all this, but here's the plan - let me know if any of this sounds like i'm about to fall on my arse.

I'm going to start a cheap .info site up, saying I've got a brilliant, impossible to lose, money making plan, buy the system for $5 here, link to clickbank. Ebook there is a basically copied load of crap about martingale roulette systems, stuffed with my referral links on revenue share with online casinos. Then adwords the hell out of it for a few days and see what happens.

So far, all standard stuff, but am I at any risk of getting in bother? Technically it's got to be something like misrepresentation, but in practise does anyone ever get nicked for this sort of stuff or does it tend to be fine?

Any hints and tips welcome, thanks guys..

Even at $5? Reckon lowering the cost would be better? It's the affiliate links that make the money anyway. Which come to think of it means i wouldn't really need to worry about refunds too much.

As for the ebook, although it's talking about martingales, which don't work, it sounds plausible and it'll all be well-presented, so it's not entirely shit, it's sort of just useless information in a high-quality format.

Anyway, any other ways this could go wrong? Some people do appear to be doing pretty much exactly this already. would it help to give the info away free? I was just thinking that people might be more likely to use the info if they'd paid for it....

Selling a book like that for $5 won't even come close to covering the Adwords costs for that. If you are targeting the "make money online" niche, your CPC is going to be really high.

And you can't go after gambling or anything related since Google banned that type of stuff.

Right. Probably time for a rethink then - I'll have a look at some other threads.
Cheers guys - info on what isn't going to work is at least as useful as info on what is..

Why bother with Adwords and Clickbank? If you need a quick buck, you can write an ebook - whether it's crap or not - and sell it on WSO & DP. There're lots of people there who will just buy any crap that says "$XXXX/day, no investment, you'll get rich quick" etc.. Just make a nice sales thread...you can even stick a link to it in your signature. As for refunds - well it happens even for good products - and refund rate for ebooks is probably much higher, since it's hard to protect them.
