Default CB PPC Order Page Tracking Pixel

Ok, when doing ppc, with cpa networks, I can ask them to place my special trac-king-2-0-2 tracking pixel on the post-order page, so that it can help my tracking service to tell me which keywords were responsible for the sales.

How are you guys doing it with CB? Should I contact them too, the CB guys? Or do they now have a better easier in-house tracking service to help us with that?

I'm talking about the "thank you for ordering!" page, not the order page itself.

If you're using 202, then just use the tid in cb as you would the subids in the networks. Then just import the selling tids from cb into 202.

No, I'm not talking about which keywords resulted in "clicks" on the ad or landing page.... or clicks on aff link... I'm actually using one landing page with one cb tid... and I'm looking for a way to track keywords that resulted in actual sales...

I believe with your method, you assume more than one aff link and possibly more than one landing page for each keyword... or am I getting it confused?

There is a pixel 202 offers, that need to be put on the "thank you for ordering" page....this allows us to know which keywords made it to the thank-you page... ie. resulted in a sale.

I was just researching the same thing and so far the only software I was able to find that allows you to track conversions of sales without having the luxury of placing tracking pixels on thank you pages is xtreme conversions xconversions.com I've read their sales materials like 3 times yesterday and here's some pro's and cons i see

CONS
1.) You have to install a new copy of the software for each domain name. If that's the case I run offers on 20+ urls and always adding, that would be a real pain in the ass
2.) You have to import sales reports with your subids from the cpa network into xtreme conversions which is also another step that's a pain, too much work for me
3.) Seems to only work with yahoo, google, msn and a few other traffic sources. I use tons of 2nd tier search engines for traffic so this wouldn't work for me if this is the case. Anyone with first hand experience please chime in.

So I'm curious if anyone else knows of a better solution to track sales conversions that does not require the placement of a pixel on a thank you page

sunseven.. xtreme conversions looks good, but from what you say it seems like some serious pain in the toushie..

Would be much easier if clickbank would kindly place our pixels for us. I'll do some more "googling" before I give up and contact them.

202 creates a different tid for every single click, irrelevant of keywords. If CB tells you which tids resulted in sales then by importing the tids into 202 you can see which clicks/keywords were sales.

This would have the same affect as a pixel, at least if CB shows what tids resulted in sales (i don't use CB). The same as you don't need to have a tracking pixel in 202 with normal networks, you can just import the subids and then 202 will show you which subids were clicks and or sales.

There isn't one, as such. Simply put something needs to be triggered as a result of a sale that in turn triggers something in your tracking software to show where that sale has come from. If you want that automated, something HAS to be placed.

If you can't place a pixel then the easiest way is to just copy subids across. It's not a bid issue and it takes a few seconds. If people want to track, but find copying and pasting a list of subids hard work i suggest you give up marketing.

I use one CB tid all over the landing page... (redirect to the tid link)... I can't create a diff cb tid for (every visitor) or something...

Oh! I now get what you are talking about... that tedious tracking stuff and diff assigned tids that I came across in courses like commi*ssion blueprint.... you then list all and align them correctly to figure out which tid resulted in the sale, and therefore figure which keyword was responsible.

With cpa networks, it is only a pixel placed on the thank you page, and we can see the sale keyword in the 202 stats nicely listed..... but afterall, I might need to go through all of this mumbo jumbo if clickbank doesn't help us out here ..... lol

On a related note, i missed something in one of your earlier posts, where you say you use one tid.

You don't want to create any tids yourself, leave that part to 202, which will dynamically create them as and when required.

Edit: i posted just after you. Give me a second, i'll have a quick butchers at my 202 and tell you what you need to do. Because it's not complicated and requires alignment of anything. It's a simple case of adding a blank tid to 202, then letting 202 handle everything. You just import them whenever you want to see where sales came from.

Edit2: This appears to clarify what you're after, as you can do what i thought you could.

http://prosper.tracking202.com/forum...-in-order-form

Essentially you add your usl to 202 as below:

Code:
http://affiliatecode.publishercode.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=[subid]
EDIT3:

Are you saying you have an LP, then on that LP you have links going to the CB sales page as cb hop links that have a single tid tagged on?
