I've been thinking about the UI of one of my bots and I need some help getting it coded in XAML. I just got into WPF a few weeks ago and I haven't fully grasped XAML. In CSS/HTML this would be a piece of cake, but XAML is way more complex than that.

What I'm trying to code is a vertical menu. The menu will only be two levels. I've worked a lot with CSS so when I visualize the menu I visualize CSS menus. This menu will be docked to the left hand side and the content will be docked to the right. A header bar will be docked to the top.

Below are some ideas I had in mind (The right photo should be visualized without the top horizontal menu):

I'm not sure whether I want it to be an expandable menu or a drop-down type menu.

I tried using tab control today, but that didn't work out. I'm not sure if the menu control will allow expandable sub menus. It might allow drop-down sub menus, though. I'm pretty much stuck. I've been searching Google all day and trying out different code. Design is not really my forte.

If anyone can help me out and point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

All the best, tAG
