Purchased this yesterday mainly for the harvester. Going through a run now and all seems to be going great. Did a test harvest earlier for about 3 mins and got about 2300 URLs, which is amazing!

What would be really really good would be a way to reply to the comments you have already made on blogs. So you could leave a leading comment and then a reply to that comment which would have your product URL or links to it. This would then help to stick the comments.

We could then use the built in browser to view the initial comments and/or use the succesful posted URLs to choose the list of URLs to reply to,yes?

Will post back my successes with the software.

Yes this is a good trick, i've done it in a manual fashion by reposting to the successful comments a week later answering my original question.

Working on a big update at the moment, which involves more accurate posting, more accurate reporting, posting to blogs which auto-posters currently can't post to, backlink verifier and a few other things.

i need a bit of advice on this program.

i am running a comment campaign, using private proxies, a pool of 25 emails (valid), a basic comment. I am seeing a 5% success rate, and the sites that are successful do not have the comment listed....BUT i can post the comment manually with the exact same variables and it gets listed imediately.

any ideas?

I love this tool LOL, it is amazing at how many comments it pumps out in a few minutes. I just lol'ed when I saw some of the comments I made got accepted.

I say use a site or page to run your tests on at first. Try using different comments and emails and stuff. I was getting like 50/50 success, but my last run I got 4,000 success out of 4,800 And I guess when it is a success, it doesn't necessarily mean the comment is posted. I think success either means it went to moderation review or the comment was posted.

How many proxies are recommended per # of url's or comments?

It's just that i've had Emails, PM's plus Forums posts all for the same issues and (i think) from the same people going by the times.. So as i go through the support list it's become confusing to work out who and what issues i've dealt with.

A fairly big update under the hood, ScrapeBox now has a second alternate posting method which is a little slower but still automatic and allows it to parse Javascript/Cookies and get around many anti-spam measures auto commenter's generally cannot post to.

What I was thinking about just on, and came on here to post as a suggestion, is to re-visit submitted URLs and for a report to be generated telling you which links were there. So you could boot-up a list from a week ago, run it, and then see which comment links were still there - which would be great if you were doing some linkbuilding for someone else for example who wanted evidence of the links in place for example.

The alternate poster just released took "tons" of time and work, it's getting around various anti-spam measures and posting to blogs that auto commenter's really should be able to hit.

Just want to say this is a great piece of software and seems to be updated twice a day you really need to sleep sometimes Sweetfunny.

For those that have trouble trying to get comments approved, put your self in the site admins place, he is much more likely to approve a post that has his keywords in it and adds to the value of the site.

Do not do this type of post

I purchased scrapebox 2 weeks ago...i've no doubt it's a great product and the support is really second to none, but i'm having trouble using it, basically i've no idea what i'm doing, i don't understand how to properly utilise it's features to gain backlinks and visitors, i know this because after 2 weeks i have'nt been able to generate any new visitors to my sites...i know that there are some tutorial vids in the making but as far as i'm concerned, the sooner the better

Now that's some solid advice, and that's how you slip through moderated blogs and get approved. Combine that with linking to a non-commercial and non-spammy site as your backlink and your on a winner. Wait a week or so to be approved on all the blogs, and switch out your sites with ads or redirect it to pass the juice to your money site.

Which parts are you having problems with? Any time you are having problems, don't hesitate to submit a support email and i will be glad to help.

The thing with ScrapeBox is it can be used in so many different ways, for many different things from scraping URL's to spamming Trackbacks. For instance one user is populating his own blogs with comments using spin syntax to make his pages with PLR articles more unique. Also you can use Ping Mode with the URL's in the thread "Google indexing and backlinks really quick" to get indexed quickly.

So the best "explain all tutorial" is experiment and see what works best for your situation, niche and goals. But if there's something you don't understand, just shoot me an email.

Just to check if you are having issue from harvesting urls from google and yahoo recently? I am using another scraper but recently stop working with google and yahoo. Only working with msn. So if your scraper if working fine. I might consider switching.

Sweet's harvester is still working for me - harvesting from G, Y, and Bing right now.

Your Updates are faster than speedy gonzales! I checked out the new feature and scrapebox crashed on some sites, after i recognized that i want to report, but the bugfixes on that problem comes earlier than my report ^^, with the latest update 1.2.7.

One suggestion, I am finding that the browser style submitter is quite oftern stoppin on a certain submission and just sitting there. Could be proxies or whatever. The main point is that you cannot do anything about it. If you start again it just goes down the list from the top rather than from the last successful submission.

So my suggestions are:

1. When re-start ignores success status links.
2. "skip URL" option for any URL it just cannot seem to get past.

Hi YSL, no problems harvesting from any of the engines. The way ScrapeBox parses the results and extracts URL's it's pretty resistant to changes they make to the results pages source code.. But if it breaks it will be updated same day.

Did you get the latest version? As "Run-on-Top" said, he went to report a similar issue and it was already fixed before he could report it.

I think one minor bug when launching a new fully automated browser is pretty good.

Thank you, it's much appreciated. ScrapeBox has turned a month old now, it sure has grown a lot since day one.

there's a problem with the new automatic browser emulator comment poster. when there's a javascipt disclaimer, we have to click OK each time, it would be great to automate the disclaimer breaking barrier too.

Hi, thanks for letting me know. The browser feature is only new, and because it actually executes certain javascript to comment to fancy comment forms that it otherwise wouldn't be possible to comment on there may be some js that causes problems. I will send you a PM in a second.

If anyone ever finds such as URL please PM it to me, this way exceptions can be added to handle that type of script which will help the secondary poster be 100% automatic for everyone.

As far as the product is concerned, I am busy playing around with it now, and so far have found the instructions to be ample in understanding what needs to be done and so on (I am a newbie - so cut me some slack.) hey please help me. i had used wordpress commenting and strated posting and the status is 78 success and 20 failed . i copied the success url and checked the website if my comment is posted or not but my comment is not posted there? but he status says it is success. did any one faced this problem? or else i did any wrong. plz help me

the comments don't appear as soon as you post. Most wordpress blog owners have moderated comments section to take down on spam(95 percent of blogs). So this software only posts them and says successful. After that only the blog owner decides whether to accept your comments or not. If its a non sensible comment then 99 percent chances are negative.

Just purchased and am looking forward to getting it setup

Hey just i tested on my own word press blog... and it worked my comment is waiting for approval . it's a awesome software really i like scrapeBox....

Any way of implementing an easier method of updating? Right now what I do is save zip on desktop, then backup comments/proxies and then delete scrapebox folder, extract from zip and replace proxies/comments.

Or is there an easier way?

It's a portable, there's not even any install process so i don't think it can get much easier. Double click the new downloaded .zip, drag scrapebox.exe from it and drop it on top of your old scrapebox.exe done.

It's 2 or 3 clicks really for the whole process, i'm not sure why your going about it the way you are.

Also sorry for any delays responding to emails, I've been totally swamped with questions plus i've just converted my main machine to Win7 and fighting with the Outlook search index rebuilding the few GB of .pst files so i can search them accurately.

I've just uploaded v1.3.9 which has a counter in the harvester, for example:

G: 300 | Y: 200 | B: 150

Which shows a running count of URL's harvested from the three engines. Also a browser added to the Link Checker, and some bug fixes. However i've added a note to the updater, the harvester is being thrown in the trash and being totally rewritten from scratch for next version to be a lot better.

There has been really no complaints about it, but IMHO the current implementation isn't good enough.

ok i had some ideas for later versions maybe you would find it useful to add. I just used using v1.3.5. Now there is a new version v1.3.9 so maybe these little suggestions are already included :-)

1. Ability to decrease or increase the number of simultaneous connections while harvesting and posting comments (fast commenting) currently shows 100.

2. To make the second option (browser simulation) commenting area clickable so we can copy the urls of those failed status or open them in inbuilt browser (just like we can click on harvesting area) to manually start commenting as well with an (if possible) auto fill feature.

3. after first commenting.. the failed ones are retried again with browser simulation technique. It would be great to see those success urls from the second posting technique updated in success on the 1st commenting area so that we can finally export all the success ones into a text file for checking later on (since there is no export option in the browser simulation comment posting technique.

These are just some of my suggestion which you can put into next version or later version

With the threads, there "was" a user adjustable thread setting but most people just got confused by it so it got removed. Now ScrapeBox auto-optimizes it on the fly.

You can only fit so much data down your connection before it peaks, so ScrapeBox will queue up 100 then fill your connection up to use whatever available bandwidth there is. If you raised this to 200 the data would flow over those at half the speed than if it was 100 and really offer no benefit.

So with a manual setting, you would not be able to adjust it to perform any better than it does automatically.

Agreed, the browser feature in the right click context menu will work it's way in there like it done in the link checker yesterday. Not sure on a manual comment method though as ScrapeBox is more an automatic tool, and there's billions of blog posts to hit on auto-pilot without manually commenting.

I won't rule it out though.

They do, if you have say 100 in your original list and 50 get posted with the fast method and 50 with the slower one then all 100 are shown in the logs. You can then export either all 100, just Success, just Failed, just Errors or merge the results to an already existing log file on disk.

It has 2 Ping features. One is for RSS so you can ping a list of blog search engines and RSS Services to get the bots on your content quickly. Here is a screenshot of it, you will probably recognize many of the services:

So if you make a link wheel for example, you can grab the feed URL for each page and ping all 20 or whatever amount of pages you make to 100 services in one go. You can edit the services to add more if you want.

The other Ping Mode sends referrer hits just like PRStorm, you can get links from log pages and recent referrers pages, increase views for things like Ezinearticles.com etc.

You know what would be a nice enhancement? I would like to be able to delete an individual entry in the Failed Posts Retry list. My reason for asking for this is that I have this one link in the retry list that keeps opening Internet Explorer windows every time it is hit. Really annoying. It would be nice to be able to delete this individual entry and continue with the retries.
