So number of blogs posted to compared to number of links in Yahoo have almost zero correlation short term.. Those start to make sense weeks down the track when all comments are indexed and the metric isn't totally screwed by having sitewide's or not. So i have no idea why you're trying to calculate those.

Drop in an additional footprint specifically targeting blogs with sitewide recent comments so your one comment/backlink is sitewide on every blog instead of just on a single blog post.

I could of boosted the Yahoo backlinks ten-fold, and indexed the domain in probably 2 hours after registration instead of 6 but i didn't do this. I literally typed in keywords like cat, fish, bird etc and indiscriminately pulled down a bunch of blogs and hit go on the commenter.

It was a very basic test, more for tuning the tools DNS Pre-Cache than backlinks.

For some reason, no matter what list of proxies I use now, it is not harvesting many results.

I did a search for a footprint term that I know from glancing at the SERP's should return 100's of results - but after trimming duplicates leave me with under 50. This happens with any search engine scrape. Any advice?

Also could I suggest changing the harvester with a option to move on after finding a duplicate domain - that would also help to maximise the returns on a single harvest run.

i suggest to add pause button in the poster function,cause internet speed in my country really slow, so sometimes i need to pause the poster to open browser. can't open both in the same time. only 128 kbps max sometimes down to 64 kbps when using dial up!

Any chance your number of results setting is still on default? If you have raised this, then any chance you can send your proxy list so i can do some queries and watch in a packet monitor? My guess is they are just free proxies and occasionally timing out and ScrapeBox can't get a decent connection through them.

Strange nobody has ever mentioned this, and what you say shouldn't be happening. ScrapeBox uses almost no RAM/CPU when posting and can run on very low end machines, and should free up enough bandwidth to not interfere with your browsing.

I might have to go out and buy a dial-up account to test this. In the mean time, can you modify your usage a bit to compensate for your slow connection? Such as posting to smaller lists, or starting a comment run and go have lunch so your not trying to multi-task on dial-up?

ok, i will try the smaller list, actually scrape box doesn't use large cpu resources, i agree with u about this, I use dual core 2 ghz and 4 gb ram (i guess is more than enough) the problem is my internet connection really slow, so when i open browser and try to visit some sites, loading very slow, but loading better if i turn off scrape box. So basically ur scrapebox is ok, the problem is my internet connection and i need pause button to handle such thing. if u can add this pause button is good,but if u can't added is ok ,no problem with me, ur scrapebox still kick ass software. i like it and recommended to everyone!

Yes i understand, when i had dial-up just downloading music or a game plus trying to browse was a headache so i can imagine ScrapeBox and trying to browse is the same. ScrapeBox as you know runs on almost no RAM/CPU but it's not ideal on dial-up nor is any app like this.

What I mean is I want to find domains, ie as many as possible with the same searchable footprint - ut I jst need to find the site, not multiple URLs on it.

So say I harvest 1000 results. I click on "remove duplicate domains" and sometimes as many as 400 out of the 1000 results are removed. So I never could actually achieve 1000 unique domains in a single search - if I am using it right?

So my suggestion is that as soon as the harvester finds one URL from a domain, it ignores subesquent ones, if selected.

So for example, at the moment it finds:

site.com
site.com/example.url
site.com.another/example.url

But what I am suggesting is that:

it finds site.com
it finds site.com/example.url - say "I already have a URL from that domain" and then does not add it to the list and moves on.

So basically you will only have one URl from each domain on the harvested list without having to remove them afterwards -ie it does it as it goes.

Correct but the 1,000 result limitation per query is a limitation with Google, Yahoo & Bing not with ScrapeBox.

So it makes no difference if ScrapeBox removes duplicate domains on the fly, or you do it by pushing the "Remove Duplicate Domains" button you will always get 1,000 minus however many duplicate domains there are if all you want is unique domains. Example..

Search: test

You can harvest 1,000 URL's right, and test.com is first so in order to exclude that domain from being harvested in subsequent pages and get a full 1,000 unique domains we would have to again query

Search: test -test.com

This now performs the query again eliminating that domain so we have a full 1,000 unique domain sample to harvest from for the keyword. If there is 400 duplicate domains, this means another query with 400 -domain.com tacked on to the keyword to filter all your found ones.

A lot of work and calculations and it's not real practical. You know a certain portion will be removed if you elect to filter the list and only have unique domains.. So harvest more than you need to compensate for this, that's the best way.

Make sense now, Google allows you to harvest 1,000 URL's total so if you want to filter this down you have to expect the number to reduce.

99% of my posts fail when I use proxies.
When I dont use proxies my posts get rejected by some anti spam thing I think in wordpress.

95% of these issues can be solved just by looking at them, it's usually wrong data.

Who's idea was it to simplify the build numbers down to 3 digits.. Sheesh they should be fired! Human says 1.1.9 then 1.1.10 next, machine says no way 1.1.10 is lower so no update.

The features are good but i would have bought the cool software if you had support for socks proxies or exclusive proxies with password protect. (for example proxies at packetflip). I am not sure , does it support now? if not u can add the feature on the next update. Cos free proxies slows down the whole process.

It fully supports private proxies for all web operations, i use PacketFlip proxies (and recommend them) when running ScrapeBox. The BHW user "bpaw" from PacketFlip has a thread here and he's a great guy to deal with if anyone needs fast/reliable proxies.

The proxy test has been tightened to toss out far more junk/non-working proxies. Before the test checked for a working connection to it, now it actually connects through the proxy to Google and fetches a string from the Google page to confirm it's a valid proxy and routing correctly.

Some users have been giving me their proxies to check, and they are Codeen proxies, government server redirects or even IP's pointing to hacked servers running malware packs and wondering why ScrapeBox isn't functioning right. Nothing will harvest and comment through these in a million years, so the latest version will scrap them all.

I purchased this product and it was delivered and verified very quickly. The main problem I have is that there is no directions for comment mode anywhere. I have no clue how to save multiple comments, emails and the like. I thought I did and did a test run on 1000 blogs, 760 or so were sucsessful but after checking none showed my links. I also seen quite a few blogs that were auto approve and my comments were not there.

Please help

I am sorta having the same problem that propsta is having. I can't get the comments to stick and I wonder if there is a way to code the comments so that they don't get erased. I have read earlier posts but

There is example files in the download, with the right formats for all the files you can just replicate them. For names, emails, your websites and the blogs you are posting to it's simply a new entry on a new line.

For comments, you separate each comment with a line break.

If you are having problems, feel free to shoot me a support email with your files and i will take a look.

wow already approved, in 12 minutes!!

I am yet to see any result with this. Submitter 1200+ wordpress comments and i checked around 100 blog post randomly and didn't find any comment on them yet. Also after comment submit i save the list for only successful ones and when i was randomly checking some url i saw some had cpatcha activated on comments section so how can this software post in that when it was stated that captcha are skipped.

Also how do i check the backlinks in an easy way?

Just bought this, what am I suppose to do now? Am I suppose to get a download link or something in my email?

* Some other Captcha's give the wrong header response

ScrapeBox doesn't "make up" the Success/Fail status, the blogs on the other end report if the comment succeeded or failed and ScrapeBox simply shows what they said. A couple of Captchas don't correctly tell Wordpress what happened.

The only 100% way to report is hack the blogs admin and check if it's in the moderation queue which isn't possible.

I'm looking at ways around "WP Spam Free" right now which has 23 Million pages indexed in Google, along with some other plugins.

This feature, along with getting around various anti-spam measures, improving accuracy rates and a few other things are baking in the oven right now.

The ScrapeBox browser is in the current build: http://www.scrapebox.com/random/browser.png and this will be extended upon in various ways.

Because ScrapeBox does so many things, and interacts with millions/billions of different blogs hacked and modified in different ways there's tons of testing and tuning involved. But at less than a month old, i think the tools progressed rapidly so far.. But there's always room for improvement, and i'm working long hours to make that happen.

I also just purchased your program as it looks well put together and also everyone here is giving it great reviews I had to get it.

i didn't know how to add the line break in notepad so i tried the article spin method of putting up words and its 4 or 5 synonyms inside {} and it worked great for me.

Now i just hope i get even 1% of the amount of blog comment i made in the last 24 hours accepted. These blog owners are getting very smart and doesn't bother when they don't see a real name commenting on their blog.. lol

Unless I am missing the way to do it, can I make a suggestion:

Option to import harvested URLs direct into the comment poster.

At present it seems you have to export the list and then reimport it into the comment section?

You format it "exactly" like the example file in the download. Ok here it is with red lines to illustrate even further: http://www.scrapebox.com/random/comments.png

That's all you do, that's 4 comments and one will be randomly selected each comment. You just have to copy the example file, it's like writing new paragraphs right here on the forum.. Not sure how else i can explain it, you can certainly try putting in different formatting than what's shown in the example files, but i can't guarantee what will happen but you may have gotten lucky this time.

In default MS Notepad you just hit the Enter/Return twice to add a blank line between each comment. So you can have multiple comments, with spin syntax in all your comments also.

You must be missing it, under the harvested URL's the "List" drop-down will send harvested URL's directly to the poster. If it's not in your version, try updating.

Sorry, another question - could you explain how to use the trackbacks feature please.
