I did think about this before, the only trouble is you don't have much control over the quality of the proxies. It may end up scraping 1,000 proxies and only 1 is any good.

Normally people have their favorite sources/lists, also BHW has a dedicated forum for sharing lists. Then there is free dedicated proxy tools like Charon which does this. ScrapeBox cleans your lists to discard dead/slow proxies in 2 ways, a ping to see if it's alive then a small request to Google to ensure it's not blocked for too many queries.

So the ScrapeBox proxy checker is slightly unique to a regular ping check.

Let me have a think about this.

hey thx for this, it's really helpfull, I like ur scrapebox, very powerfull and have many function. I do suggest for auto harvest proxy too like other mate suggestion, at least it's serve such an option for us that can not afford to buy private proxy.

I have just uploaded build 1.0.0.19 with this link checking functionality.

For URL's you want to check, run them in Ping Mode (see video) and ping the list of URL's you want to check if they are dead/alive. You can export just the working URL's, just the dead URL's or all URL's to make your lists clean so they are all valid and alive URL's.

Thanks mate, as soon as you forwarded me your lists the problems were obvious. Bad user input data, your proxy list:

123.456.789.001:80
123.456.789.002:80 0.3690
123.456.789.003:80

The "0.3690" is obviously some leftover ping times from wherever you obtained/pasted the list from plus it had "Tab" spaces between the Proxy and Port as well as unrelated data.

Whenever a thread grabbed that, all hell broke loose giving you your random crashes.

Download that and give it a try, when your proxy lists are messed up with junk/unrelated data it will do it's best to clean them.

This was added yesterday, you can use Ping Mode see screenshot. The referrer you can just put as any domain such as Google, then load the list of sites you want to check and just ping them all. You can see i added "thisdomaindoesntexist.com" as the last entry, which of course is 404 and doesn't exist so it failed. Then you can export a list of Alive, Dead or All sites.

Seems like the program posts quotes "" around the name when it is posting comments. Like i would put a name like fried chicken into my name text file and when I check the comments it posted on the sites, it would look like "fried chicken". Any ideas on this?

I just wanted to throw something out there that I don't think anyone has addressed. Windows XP (Since sp2, and probably vista and windows 7 im sure) limits the maximum amount of tcp connections. You can verify if you are getting limited by checking the event viewer and looking for event ID 4226. If you have this problem, don't worry it can be easily fixed.

Check this out and install the patch. It will help with bittorrent and anything else you are doing that opens tons of connections as well.

I thought of this as I had another tool that would only allow 6 threads and when I tried to up it, it actively told me that the number of thread was limited because of tcpip.sys. This give me the idea for scrapebox. Although it did seem to help it didnt fix all problems I had.
I attached the patch I used to unlimit connections, its for XP SP3 (most are for SP2)

I just did my initial run with this, used spun comments and took time to try and set it up right. Only used 10 threads. Seems like really great software, but it seems to be hanging while posting the comments (it's stuck on 34/100) could this be because of a proxy that has gone bad while I was getting setup? If so is there a place to set the timeout?

Also, I think it would be really nice to be able to save a list of blogs that have already been commented on, so we can load in the list of already used sites and the software will not post on them again (unless we take a site off the list)

Was this with v1.0.1.0 which was just released? The blog comment poster was substantially rewritten (and Ping Mode) to be a lot faster and more reliable, although yes your proxies may of just been bad.

When using free proxies published on public sites that are being used by hundreds of other people, you have to expect some connectivity issues especially when hitting it with up to 10 concurrent connections. However over the next day or so, the proxy rotation/handling is going to be enhanced to handle poor quality proxies better.

I think it was due to proxies going bad on me. I am using public ones that are getting hammered anyway. I just ran a huge list through charon (had a crash with internal one, im sure you will line it out but I really dont mind if I have to use charon anyway) and I am having good success right now.

Yes, I meant like an internal temp ban list so it would not try to post on the same pages again (like if i scrape and the same blog page gets scraped in that I had just used before on another run)

Also I had another thought that would be nice, an option to export successes to an html file that we can load up in firefox that is hyperlinked so we can just click on them instead of copy/paste.

-Looks like It got stuck again, is there a timeout to where it will go on to the next proxy/site or do I need to abort and start all over every time that happens?

If you can get some private proxies, even one proxy for a few dollars a month for commenting the results are considerably more reliable. I used "bpaw" in this thread and he has great proxies/service.

However if you can hang tight until tomorrow, as i mentioned the proxy handling/rotation is going to be rewritten to try and handle bad and low quality proxies better. It's 5am at the moment, and i'm beat for today.

Right now everything's going in to speed, efficiency and success rates on existing stuff. There's a number of things i want to improve considerably, after that new features will be introduced.

99 threads is maximum I think.

Very fast at posting comments ermm 1000 blogs at 10 threads about 15-30mins thats an estimate as alot depends on proxies, connection speed.

Its super fast at posting comments trust me.

I tried using this functionality and it posted "{cool|awesome|nice} site" for all areas where word replacement was suppose to be used... Obviously its not replacing the brackets and randomizing the words unfortunately.

Can you please post a link to a tutorial? I did not see anything else I haven't read so far in the download section. Unless I missed something, the tutorial I am refering to has 2 videos, but I don't see how to correctly format the text files in any of them, this is what I need to know.

As for a tutorial, you literally "Copy" the spun content from a text spinning program like Power Article Rewriter and "Paste" it in your Comments.txt file and hit "Save". The Ping Mode is being revamped right now with a new connection method which is performing at 16 pings per second, if this works out as planned it will be merged in to the poster.

This is a limitation with Google, Yahoo and Bing. If you manually search something you cannot go beyond 1,000. Example, this is a site: search for Blackhatworld who's got 90k indexed pages but you hit the end of the SERP's at 1,000

If it's just general URL's you are scraping you can add more keywords and variations to compensate. If you want to scrape URL's from a specific site with over 1k indexed you can make some changes to your footprint like:

site:domain.com/computers/

This will scrape URL's from just that subfolder, so you can pull down just the URL's from that category which will be less than the root domain and work around the limitation this way and grab section by section.

Also v1.0.1.1 is uploaded, Ping Mode completely rewritten and is a "lot" faster and more stable.

so is it like this : our comment - spin in other spinner program - copy the spin result and save it in our comment.txt - post to blog ? so the spinner function not built in then? @sweetfunny the remove duplicate function show above 100% if I use/ import large list, i use 100k blog list in this case but when i use smaller list like 10k, the function work ok!

Great tool. I have been using this for around one week and got quite a lot of backlinks in just a few tries with comment spamming. I have had more success with wordpress blogs than movable type. But thr are few gliches that if done away, will make it even better. First is inflexible GUI. I have a big screen and sometimes I want to maximize it but it doesn't, even the sub-windows are inflexible.

Apart from that, when the comment spammer fails to post the comment then I don't have any idea why it failed. I cudn't find any log anywhere. If captchas are the issue behind many failures then u sud seriously consider integrating some decaptcha service.

Inspite of some minor short comings, this tool is certailny worth more than what it is being offered for and if some body is on the fence, still not sure whether to buy it or not, then I wud ask them to go for it and they won't regret.

I am on the verge of buying this, but wondered what the official line is on the captcha thing. Does it simply continue on when it finds a captcha? I would personally prefer URL's requiring a captcha to post to go into a seperate list that can be manually process through the software at the end if we want to.

I just started using this but am having a few problems:

1) My proxies are getting an "Error" result when ScrapeBox tests them. These proxies are from PacketFlip and are fully working - but ScrapeBox doesn't seem to like them for some reason.

2) I just tried posting to two of my own WordPress blogs so I could get to see the results. But ScrapeBox simply will not post to these blogs, it just says 'Failed' all the time. I have used other comment software to post to these blogs without problem, so I know they should be working fine. ScrapeBox will post with a 50% success rate to the blogs in the sample files.

Any suggestions on what may be going wrong?

This is correct, you need to paste your comment complete with tokens in to your ScrapeBox Comments file. ScrapeBox does not include Power Article Rewriter, that's a $97 program and has a 37MB dictionary. To save this confusing everyone when it's really very simple, you put this in your comments file:

{hello|hi|good morning|good afternoon}

ScrapeBox will post ONE word from this on each blog post, so if you post to 400 blogs then roughly 100 will have "hello", 100 will have "hi" and so on.

With regards to your list issue, there has been no bug reports of this. However can you send me your list so i can see what's up?

Thanks for your input it's much appreciated. The fixed size GUI was a lot easier, it was done at a size to suit most resolutions. Possibly in the future it will get a makeover to fit more functionality and allow expanding full screen.

Yes with Movable Type the success rate is a bit less, it's much more advanced than Wordpress in the security department. They have a comment "armor" variable embedded in the comment form with encryption in a js file to prevent posting from anything but the form itself.

ScrapeBox has bypassed this, and i believe it's the only auto poster to ever mass post to Movable Type since it was introduced. But people also add additional security and it's difficult to account for this custom stuff. But you can get some solid links from Movable Type, i struck a PR6 ******** that showed up in my backlinks from a testing run which i'd take over 100 lower quality ones from Wordpress.

So MT is there as an option, because it's less spammed it may present some good opportunities.

With showing you a reason "why" posting to a certain blog failed, this would slow down the tool dramatically and require parsing the page content to find out why. ScrapeBox hangs around long enough to know success or fail and keeps going.

ScrapeBox is like a machine gun, analyzing what happened with every bullet after letting off 10,000 rounds isn't real productive. You hit a bunch of targets and move on to the next.

thefandango If it can't post to a blog due to Captcha (fails) it keep moving. Getting ScrapeBox to go back to the page, parse content to find out the exact reason would totally kill performance. Captcha is a minor annoyance you step over and keep moving when mass posting, there's millions of blog posts out there without it.

kendra I have used private proxies from Packet Flip and they work perfect. Have you got them in a format:

IP : PORT : USER : PASSWORD

No spaces. With posting, can you send me your blogs so i can check with a packet analyzer and see why this doesn't work for you.
