Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will you add additional keywords for anchor text diversity yourself?

It depends on the case. Your site may either be A, B or C.

A = Your site's backlink profile IS NOT optimized for your keywords. If this is the case, only a couple or so keywords will be added for diversity.

B = Your site's backlink profile IS optimized already for your keywords. If this is the case, we will add in several keywords that would go along with your currently optimized for keywords.

C = Your site's backlink profile IS over-optimized already for your keywords (not necessarily a penalized site). If this is the case, we will make sure that each page would be assigned with AT LEAST 12 different keywords each EXCLUDING the URL variations that we add in.

2. When will you start the campaign?

After payment is made, we need 1 business day to prepare everything (off-site related). We will begin immediately once this business day elapses.

3. When will I get on-site suggestions?

We usually need 2 - 3 business days after payment is made. If it's during a week where there are holidays or there are certain events that may add more work to the team, it could reach up to a full week before on-site suggestions are sent. HOWEVER, off-site will ALWAYS be on time so despite not receiving the on-site suggestions yet, you will still get what you pay for since on-site suggestions is just a bonus.

4. Do you accept penalized sites?

To be honest, we have rejected a few (currently at a 90% acceptance rate for sent forms). It really depends on the situation. Sometimes, we would accept your campaign IF you decide to redirect it to a different domain (or sometimes no redirect at all). On different situations, we would still agree to accept your site but will let you create new inner pages.

5. How much work do I still need to do if you work on my site? Can you consider this a "hands-off" service?

Usually, the most work you could do is during the on-site suggestion stage. You will POSSIBLY be asked to do the following:

a. Add more content on certain pages.
b. Edit the keywords being used on certain pages.
c. Configure META title, description AND/OR tags.
d. Remove certain widgets/sections.
e. Create new inner pages with custom META's.

6. Will the links be removed when I stop my subscription?

No. The only links that POSSIBLY can be removed are the links that we have put in public sources. If they decide not to renew their domain registration then your links there would obviously be removed also. As for work on our part on intentionally removing your links, we would not even dare to.

7. Will I be protected from Google updates?

To be honest, no site is FULLY protected from Google updates UNLESS your site is considered an authority site. To be an authority site, there are a lot of factors involved. However, we assure that our methods are not based on some temporary "craze" that is effective but risky. Our methods are based on classic methods which have always been used by authority sites.

8. Will I get any report?

As the sales page says, you will not receive any report for links. However, you will get reports for SERP movements, campaign updates and time-to-time on-site adjustments depending on what transpires during the campaign.

9. I have many product pages I want to rank individually, what is your approach in this kind of campaign?

It's easy, we approach a batch of pages at a time and then rotate to a different batch when they are already ranking high. What differs Defensive SEO from other services is that we focus on authority, not only the links that we give you. This means that we could go after MORE pages despite HAVING more keywords.

10. The premium plan only covers 10 inner pages, is there a bigger package for my big site?

Yes, simply send a form and include that in the description section so we will make a custom recommendation for you.

11. Are there any discounts for bulk sites?

We have discounts for the following (PM me or include it in the form if you have many sites so I can give you the respective discount code):

2 - 5 sites = 10%
6 - 10 sites = 15%
11 - 15 sites = 20%
16 - 20 sites = 25%
21 - 25 sites = 30%

12. When will I see movements?

It depends. Half of our clients hit page 1 on many keywords during the end of the first month. These are usually those with minimal on-page issues and have workable backlink profiles.

The other half is divided also. Half of them having little movements and the other half having good movements for SOME keywords only. This half is usually consisting of sites having on-page issues or penalized.

13. When you say my site will be more "authoritative", what does it mean?

There are many forms depending on how you would look at it. These are examples:

a. It could be better off-site profiles (more anchor text diversity, more link types, more referring domains etc.)

b. It could be better on-site grades (Page Authority / Domain Authority (by SEOMOZ) or On-Site Grades (various checkers))

c. It could be increased Page Rank (Google PR) not only for homepage but also for inner pages

14. Do you accept foreign sites?

Yes but not all. For those that we accept, we usually would ask for assistance when it comes to translation.

15. How easy is it to stop the subscription?

There are two (2) EASY ways to stop the subscription:

1. Cancel the subscription in your PayPal account.

2. We will cancel it ourselves.

16. Can you explain the Refund Policy more?

Sure. Our refund policy WILL ONLY BE eligible if you have been with us for at least three (3) months. Assuming you have been with us for at least 3 months while still being under subscription AND you have not bought any other service WITHOUT our permission or knowledge, here are situations where we will give you a refund:

Situation A = Non-Penalized Site But Backlink Profile Is Critical For Penalization (you will be notified if backlink profile is at critical level)

a. Backlink profile HAS NOT improved according to Backlink Checkers
b. No new incoming link according to Backlink Checkers
c. Penalized by Negative SEO

Situation B = Penalized Site

a. Backlink profile HAS NOT improved according to Backlink Checkers
b. No new incoming link according to Backlink Checkers

Situation C = Non-Penalized Site With Decent Backlink Profile

a. No new incoming link according to Backlink Checkers
b. Negative SERP movements
c. No positive SERP movement
d. Penalized by Negative SEO

Situation D = New Site (0 - 2 months old before subscription started)

a. No new incoming link according to Backlink Checkers
b. No positive SERP movement
c. Site is still not indexed (unless if I can prove to you that IT WAS actually deindexed manually before)
d. Penalized by Negative SEO

If your site is in a particular situation and at least one of the possible scenarios is present for your campaign then a refund will be granted.

First of all, Extrawinner's RANK SHIELD is totally different from mine because he is a different person having a different understanding of SEO and having a different strategy.

Sorry for confusing you. What I meant by "it is not a ranking service" is that the MAIN GOAL of this service is not to let you rank for the keywords you have chosen BUT, in most instances, you do get increases but it is gradual because the work done is GRAY HAT (sorry, there's no such thing as WHITEHAT link building).

Let me explain the process: when a person submits a form, we will analyze their site. We will let them know where they currently stand in terms of their overall backlink profile. FOR EXAMPLE: BLACKHATWORLD.COM (using AHREFS / MAJESTICSEO to assess)

Looking at the backlink profile, there are many things to improve on:

- it only gets 16 .edu links (more or less since Ahrefs isn't perfect) then we will give it 100 or so more .edu links in order to let BHW have 0.01% of its links coming from EDU sources

- the current DOF vs NOF is at a 70% - 30% ratio -- I will give it more NO FOLLOW links as I'm aiming a 50-50 split

- 80% of its pages are not getting even a single link -- I will make sure to build at least a backlink for each inner page/post

- for the DOF links alone, the anchor text diversity could do better -- I will build more links on other keywords to push the 10% "blackhatworld" to less than 9%

AND MANY MORE TASKS TO BE DONE. As much as I want to share many more objectives, I hope you get the idea by what I have shared.

Sure it is definitely good. There's nothing better for a site than to build a stable foundation of good tier 1 links first having anchor text diversity in mind.

Quick feedback: Just had an explanation of my problems to Veheme, I asked many providers here about it and he was definitley the first one who took instantly an deep look into the situation and answered me well-knowledged - I am pretty sure that he is one of the REAL experts here on board. Perhaps is not marketing himself the best way as it, but from my point of view he much more educated in SEO stuff than MANY highly repped members here.

I agree. He answered all my questions and he did a very extensive on my site that brought about many bad issues that I was missing.

I bought one of vehemes services a few months back and was very impressed with both the service and the personal level of support that was provided. My messages and emails were always returned promptly and any questions or concerns I had were always dealt with very quickly. Veheme is very good at what he does and I'm sure that he treats our sites with the same care that he treats his own. Although, I have not personally bought this service I have no doubt that it is well worth the price. There are indeed cheaper providers on BHW but very few will provide the quality of service or posses the wealth of knowledge that I have experienced dealing with Veheme. I urge anyone who is considering to take a few minutes and talk with him about your concerns, it will be well worth your time.

To be honest, I have no idea what exactly the links they will build. However, it would be tedious for a service to collaborate with a difference one for a client so I would suggest that you have to make a decision of choosing one or the other.

I've worked with Veheme for a few years now and everything he does is very well thought out and rigorously tested before it goes out to the public. This service looks like an awesome way to keep your website strong. Best of luck with your sales Veheme, I'm sure I'll be giving this one a go in the near future myself.

I'm not sure if I'm going to switch to this (depending on which package I would have to pay for as my budget is limited) but I filled out the form and hope you don't mind.

I'm hoping that only a Standard or even a Deluxe package will be needed only or maybe start out with the Deluxe and then downgrade after the second month. I'm just a little worried with what my current SEO guy is doing is all. I checked the back-links using Ahrefs but I'm just worried because a lot of the links are coming from a handful of domains only, almost none of them are contextual, or even readable. It's been going for about 3-4 weeks so I'm hoping to maybe catch this early if possible and just cut it off where it is and your service will help counter-balance it. I only have something like 500 back-links to it though so far though so if if he is doing something wrong, then it's not too bad. I just want to make sure if you don't mind. If he is screwing me here though, I would like to switch over to your service within the coming few weeks.

Also, on another note, does this purely only "protect" your site and maintain rankings, or can this service help increase rankings also? Little confused on that :P

So far, most of the ones who fill out the form are quoted with the DELUXE and then given a timetable to downgrade to STARTER based on their site's profile. So don't worry about your budget as we're flexible on that since we understand how everything goes.

As for your question on whether it will rank or protect the site, let me put it this way:

Our aim is to make your site an authority site; kind of like Wikipedia. Wikipedia doesn't intentionally rank for keywords but they simply do it naturally.

Further examples are subster's site above and missmissy's site. We didn't only build backlinks using their keywords, we incorporated others and have also used different types of links in order to rank them for their keywords "almost-naturally".

Let me explain from a customers point of view. After veheme started his incredible word, all my keywords, but also keywords that I am not specifically tracking went up. Variations and so on I never thought of. It all wents up automatically.



If you look here at the screenshot, you can see from my GA account that the impressions from the amount of search terms at all goes slow but steady upwards. This is the effect you can expect. I recommend this for every serious business site.

Yes, that's the idea of the service: authority!

Two Philippine sites but English keywords.

Two UK sites but with UK's spelling.

Two Polish sites.
