Please let me know when you release developer license. I am really interested in developer license.
currently using wprobot but not to pleased with its limited features. just bought blogsense, i bought monthly subcsription to test it first. if i like the app and cancel it (perhaps) before the subscription ended, then i will automatically be offered the unlimited ver with $10 disc (=$85), am i right? thx..
Hey tophitman,
Yes thats pretty much how the inside customer service is setup to work.
I could go with one site license if I am planning to develope n s3ll individual blogs but not with the type of srvice which I am planning to offer. Actually for the srvice which I am planning, will provide more than one (many) blogs to each of my client. So charging them for one site license for each blog is not viable, that's why I am looking for developer license or kind of redistribution license (not resell, but redistribution)
For this there needs to be a buy licenses in bulk. Say buy the right to x single site licenses.
Then I'll discount the cost of a single-site as quantity goes up.
You'll welcome to make bids via PM and we might can come to a deal.
i would like to go for un-limited site l!cens3 in b4lk to use one each for my cl!ent.
i had to twist text as my msg was triggering moderatino system
NEW UPDATES
(Content Mixing)
A Fantastic new token system is in place. These tokens are little bits of code you can insert into header and footer profiles that will use the titles of posts to search for extra content and include it if it is found. A pdf that explains the token system can be found here: http://screencast.com/t/YTBjOWYxMWM
List of available Tokens:
- Amazon Content Token : Will pull itmes from amazon, and use their top rated customer review to upsell the content. (powerful for mixing in additional content)
- Amazon Widget Token : Will pull items' titles, and images, and create a icon+title row of relevant items.
- Ebay Widget Token : Will search for items and build a ebay widget out of them. This uses the code structure for Ebay's editor kit.
- Youtube Search Token : Similar to Amazon Content Token. Grabs the video, stacks it on the description with the video icon to the right of the description.
- Flickr Search Token : This will search Flickr for relvant images. But these images are always broad. Its best to use the custom flickr hook already available for hooking random images. In that there is much more control.
(Content Spinning)
If you have been spinning with BlogSense, you might have noticed the insanely long time it would take to do it's business. Well this was causing too many server crashes so I outsourced professional help. Now we can spin 2000 words in <1second (versus the 10 seconds it was taking) and we have even increased the power of the spin. Before the spin was opnly spinning 3 and 2 words phrases. Now we can spin 5 ,4 , 3 , and 2 word phrases allowing for better spinning.
As you may or may not know, BlogSense uses a phrase replacement system rather than a synonym replacement system to help preserve readability. It's a system very similiar to the Best Spinner and Magic Article Rewriter and might full just short of their power.
(Heartbeat.php , Bookmarking , Bookmarking Management)
http://screencast.com/t/NzQ4NDNhNzMt
Bookmarking is a fantastic way to get indexed, and I have been loving Ping.fm for this. One of the problems BlogSense faced was how to attempt to bookmark every post in a reasonable ammount of time when some blogs are trying to index 100+ posts a day. Well to do this we have built in a new cronjob system. Instead of running a cronjob every-so-often on /auto/cron_config.php, we now will run a cronjob once a minute on /auto/heartbeat.php.
Running a cronjob on heartbeat.php will allow BlogSense to check for new bookmarks to publish every minute. If a bookmark's time has come, BlogSense will fire it. At the same time we can now use inner BlogSense settings to define when our real cronjob(s) will run. If the time comes to check for new posts and publish scheduled posts, BlogSense will fire cron_config.php itself from heartbeat, php, and even email the output to the email of your choice.
Bookmarks are now auto scheduled 1 every X minutes. X is a random number between two numbers you define in your bookmarking section. This way when you source 50 new items, it will pace them out 20 minutes apart. BlogSense will always only attempt to bookmark 1 item at a time. If there is a backup on the bookmarking queue then BlogSense will keep working as normal until it katches up on itself.
Additionally, if you are a long time user of BlogSense and are not interested in the advanced bookmarking, your current cronjob will still run BlogSense affectively so you will NOT be forced to switch over.
(Twitter Hash Tags)
Thanks to the advice of one of our users, hash tags can now be appended to tweets for better audience targeting and and faster twitter account building.
(Yahoo Answers Redesign)
The Yahoo Answers campaign creation has system has been converted over to the new model which allows for solo-runs, campaign names, and direct imports. Only one module left now : Amazon module. Good things can begin to happen when all modules are on the same system.
(Yahoo Answers: Mass Campaign Creation)
http://screencast.com/t/MjJhYTFlMzQt
This is the start of a good trend. You can now use a list of keywords, or even use categories as keywords, to create multiple campaigns at once. Please see video:
(Keyword Effects)
Added ability to mass create keyword profiles based on keyword lists. http://screencast.com/t/MjJhYTFlMzQt
Seems good, I will give it a try
Just finish watching your video about fetching article. It seems like I have to manually fetch and publish the articles, that would be time consuming if I have 100 autoblogs to run. Is it possible to set up a cron job for this?
Last edited by cktan; 07-28-2010 at 12:29 PM.
There are measures being implemented to increase speed, but overall, manual attention will help you, and blogsense provides options to moderate and edit content before publishing, as well as just creating a campaign on a source and letting it auto pull, both will require defining a source and keywords.
It is possible, you would set your campaigns' publishing limit to 'all at once' which means to publish all items found immediately, and then limit the number of items to grab to whatever number you want, and then run your cronjob once a month.
Alternative option is to set a campaign to post once every 20 days.
Will my IP get banned by fetching too many articles? I'm thinking to fetch 1k+ articles, rewrite/spin, and schedule them for 1 year...
Btw, your pdf links (screencast) are dead
Goarticle will require captcha solving but now not the case since it can be scraped at all.
Anyway, I've subscribed to your 1 month package to test it out myself, will purchase the lifetime license if the result is great.
Thanks!
I think he said he was planning to do this. Not that he actually did. However, I can see this becoming an issue if someone was to use the 'post now' feature. Perhaps it might be a good idea to consider building in some proxy capability. There are two benefits to this:
1. Keep the server IP from being banned.
2. Keep your server/site potentially shutdown for any number of reasons due to a complaint which can easily be traced straight back to your ip/domain and thus contact your host provider to lose your hosting account.
These things only might happen where the tool was to be used to max potential. However, it could also happen where a person has like 50 sites all on the same server and all those requests end up taxing the hell out of someone elses server where the content is coming from. Thats when the complaint emails get sent out. If they don't like you using their content the way you are, they may also sabotage your site with some absuse reports.
Anyhow.. just something that could help prevent this sort of stuff from happening.![]()
Only Those That Risk Going To Far Find Out How Far They Can Go.
#adbox
Just a feature request.
When I do the first fetch and get 30 articles, with the setting 1post/day, they will be scheduled in the next 30 days, which is great. But the problem is, when I do the 2 fetch and get another 30 article and schedule, I actually want them to be scheduled in the next 31st - 60th, which seems cant be done there.
I know there is a module called drop posting, but what I prefer is, may be something like a calender which allow us to choose which date to post inside the article module, or an option like "Start from DATE"?
Thanks

8/1/2010 UPDATES
(BlogSense) – Prices have increased.
(Campaign Creation) – Mass campaign creation
has been added to the sources module and the video module.
(Post Editing) – Mass search and replace
feature has been added, which will allow you to search for a string in
all your published posts and replace it with a replacement string.
(Post Editing) – Mass Title and Term
editing. In this feature you can sort through your posts, and can
quickly edit titles and tags. Here’s a video demoing these two
features: YouTube - Autoblogging - Mass Search & Replace on Wordpress Posts - BlogSense
(Auto Tagging) All the time I’m weeding out
trashable tags to make the auto-tagging better. If you see some
trash-worthy tags in your posts and would like me to remove them you
can make a request on this thread:
BlogSense Commnity • View topic - Auto Tagging Improvement Request Here
(Tagging) Added new setting to auto tagging
that, if turned on, will take the generated tags and make typos out of
them, adding the typo to the tags as well. In this video this feature
is demonstrated and we go over how and when this feature might come in
handy: YouTube - AutoBlogger Wordpress - Adding Typos to Tags - BlogSense
(TITLE TEMPLATES) – I’ve been reading over
at the Autoblog Blue print and I’m finding out how important it is to
alter your titles when re-distributing unoriginal content. Another
BlogSense member and I talked it over and we decided that the a title
template system that supports spyntax was a must have feature. Here’s a
video demonstration: TechSmith | Screencast.com, online video sharing, 2010-07-30_1130
(Blocked Urls) – We now have the ability to
manually edit our blocked url list.
(Bookmarking) – You can now limit the
amounts of posts scheduled to bookmark by setting a percentage.
BlogSense will randomize the post ids, then take the percentage, and
then clip off the disposable posts.
(Keyword Alterations) There is now the
option to mass apply keyword alteration profiles to all posts in your
database. This is for posts that were published before a keyword
alteration profile existed. All posts published while a profile is
active will automatically be affected.
TechSmith | Screencast.com, online video sharing, 2010-07-30_1145
(Database Changes) On advice of a user, data
is no longer being stored in the wp_options table to save speed.
(Bug) – Fixed autotagging issue with solo run
(Improvement) – Amazon Image Links now have
target=_blank added to them.
(Bug) – Javascript code was making it
through on post content, this has been eliminated
(Improvement) – ShareThis type bookmarking
code is now auto-removed in some circumstances
Improved Robots.txt
Can now edit license information (For
developers/flippers who will buy single site licenses)
Spectacular!!That user who you talked to about the unique titles really knows his stuff. Man I'd like to meet that guy someday!
You are doing a fantastic job on BlogSense. I honestly cannot imagine going back to WPRobot now. It's like going from a lambo to a pinto.![]()
Only Those That Risk Going To Far Find Out How Far They Can Go.
Great product! Would you give me a lifttime discount
The price is for a lifetime license. Considering all that is put into it, you are already getting a lifetime license.
I have been talking to him about raising his prices, because this system is just way beyond the value of the price he is offering it at.
I think you should consider getting it now at this low price while you can.
Only Those That Risk Going To Far Find Out How Far They Can Go.
for content hooking, i.e attaching images to add content to posts, is there an updated tutorial? the one on youtube seems to be for the older ver. thanks. and yes, loving BlogSense.
My bad, I was running "direct import" that's why I missed this feature
The setcrobjob issue has been fixed too, everything seems great for me now, might upgrade it to lifetime license in next few days. My subscription is $10/month, if I cancel it I will get an email that offer me 148-10 = $138 right? Too bad the price has been increased now, but I wouldn't complain![]()
Yes its still applying. It's a pretty informal exchange though.
I have a cap off where I will not discount more than 2 monthly payment worths (24x2=48).
On the domain question, a single domain will take care of a mu blog and it's subblogs. Great value if your going that route!
Is the blogsense price still $65 for bhw member? Actually i already have wprobot and like to know whether blogsense feature is similar to wprobot or not?
Hello -- I just updated the discount prices in my sig. For awhile they had disapeared completely.
It's different. It focuses on RSS and Content Scraping (Even comment scraping). It also a different beast in many other ways too. But at the end of the day many marketers use the two together. ... There may be some discussions going on BHW about comparison aspects.
Had a question for everyone. All connectivity with Twitter isnt working. I know there is an issue with blogsense twitter part but also I cant get any plugin to post to twitter. Anyone having a working plugin that works with blogsense?
More information to help anyone reading:
Note: a fix has already been implemented and tested and will be out with 7.0, which should be released this week.Bad news, Twitter has disabled basic authentication, making it now a gigantic pain to post status updates.
Before, we could use POST parameters to sign in a user and perform an action. Which was easy and opened the door to many developers.
The word is that Twitter had a hard time with throttling and accountability, so in other to better regulate their activity they have replaced the simple protocols with a complex new system and on August 31st cut out support of the old.
~1 week before return of Twitter capabilities…
http://www.blogsense-wp.com/news/twi...eek-to-repair/
now thats a quick response. Thx.
You can always expect this kind of professionalism from BlogSense developers. Honestly of all the apps I have worked with, they have been the faster in responding to any kind of bugs reported and in implementing new features that I brought up to include in the app.
I predict in 2011 BlogSense is going to be 'the must have' autoblogging app.

hi adbox,
Now that amazon doesn't allow pulling comments as text with their APi, does the amazon module with blogsense have anything to get around this ?
I would stop right there if I was you.
I was stunned when I heard this announcement. I know that there are TONS of sites that depend on those reviews, and amazon wants to take back ownership of them. They were open to distribute till now, but now that they have changed those terms, it isn't just amazon u will need to look out for, it will be google. Besides, you really want to risk losing your commissions over pulling their reviews?
It's disappointing I know. I have made a lot of money from those amazon reviews, but its time to step it up.
Only Those That Risk Going To Far Find Out How Far They Can Go.
Well, BlogSense does not use the API to get its information from Amazon, so users will not be affected. That being said, I do not know if it is anywhere written that it is against amazon TOS to use customer reviews for promotionals. As far as I know they just zipped up the API power to do this.
I follow the FTC (I think thats what it is) news a little bit and know that recently there are new laws passed about using customer reviews that are not your own to promote products. .... But there are also protections that allow you to still do this if you place a disclaimer on your site disclaiming that commentary is borrowed and you are an affiliate site and these products are not your own etc. disclaimer. etc.
There must be something deeper about this whole situation, because this is going to cut in hard into Amazon's affiliate sales and they have to know it, and have to expect to see the losses. They may be trying to save their legal asses on the other hand and prevent even greater losses from law suits... the question is who is threatening to file suite against them .
All in all I don't know too much about it these are my speculations.
Very interesting thread here, hello adbox, I sent you a pm, please check it.![]()
Latest Updates 7.0.0.2 ---
Thanks for being part of BlogSense! There is some very important information in this newsletter so lets get started.
Custom Source Profiles
We’ve added in backup-scrape parameters. What this means is now instead of 1 set of beginning and end codes for Title and Content grabbing, we can now program 3 sets of beginning and end codes. This will help us conquer sources who’s templating systems jump around such as Yahoo News (Which has also been improved in this version by using the backup parameters feature).
In addition, Wildcards can now be used to represent dynamic parts of html code. To call a wild card use this token: %wildcard%. These wildcards can be used in Source Scraping and RSS Full Content Scraping.
Example of Wildcard use:
begin-code: class=’sailboats_%wildcard%’ id=’%wildcard%’>
Improved Post Templating
I’ve completely restructured the way post templating is handled by removing header, footer, and title template profiles and having these templates editable directly in the area where we create a campaign.
This includes having the hook buttons (which allow creating manually selected pools of video or image content to include at random into posts) as well as BlogSense’s own automatic-content tokens (Amazon Widget Token, Amazon Content Token, Ebay Widget Token, Youtube Video Token)… and have even added in token integrations for phpBay and phpZon.
In addition to the above mentioned integrations, BlogSense also now gives the user the ability to create custom %tokens% that will be replaced by user defined content.
We might also see soon the integration of WP Robot Tokens and WP Mage Tokens as this is a major direction I’ve decided to take BlogSense in; an administration platform that detects and integrates the power of the other highly celebrated auto-content solutions.
BIG NOTE: Header Profiles, Footer Profiles, and Title Template Profiles WILL NOT carry over from 6.0.x.x to 7.0.x.x. Campaigns that make use of these will have to be re-dressed.
Other Improvements and Bug Fixes
(Mass Keyword Affects)
This feature has been improved and is running at top performance now.
Added title=keyword to a href links.
(Mass Search & Replace)
Now shows post ids of affected items after replacement.
(Yahoo Answers)
Improved preview mode to show answers.
(Twitter)
Basic Authentication was canceled for Twitter. We had to implement oAuth standards to bring Twitter posting back online. YOU WILL HAVE TO DELETE AND RE-ADD TWITTER ACCOUNTS. I’m sorry, there is nothing better I can do.
(Internal Code Structure)
Now we are using Wordpress functions to add posts to the database, rather than custom queries. I’m hoping this does not bring us any trouble, but as a development decision it was necessary for non-English Wordpress Installs.
I have used this software and would have to say I was not impressed. The spinner feature changed like 1 word per sentence. Did not pass the google detection. It is also tedious to setup compared to wp-robot. There should be a help feature built in to lookup things. I already got a refund.
The spin feature uses a phrase replacement system similar to The Best Spinner, and out of box spins about 10-15%, but you can alter a setting from the control panel to increase the intensity of spinning. How this works is it changes it from only replacing phrases to also replacing synonyms and then the spin rate is 40%+ but the readability decreases. Most likely you left before I added this feature. --- Still, thought is constantly given on how to improve the current spin token database.
Yes, there is more involved than WP Robot, which naturally makes it more tedious. We are always looking to save time, but BlogSense is a software that provides as much variability as possible, which means more control, and more to setup (if you want to deviate from the defaults). Also, with the release of 7.0.0.2+, post templating has gotten much easier and is state of the art.
But BlogSense isnt here to compete with WP Robot. Both have strengths and at the end of the day, allong with WP Mage, phpZon, phpBay. All the above mentioned softwares can work well together. It's currently BlogSense's goal to bring as much functionality of each 3rd party software under one roof. And its already started happening with the integration with phpBay and phpZon.
@smallfry,
I hate to loose your business, and even more hate to see a poor testimonial, though it happens. Your welcome back to own a lifetime license check out 7.0.0.2 for 30.00. Written documentation is still weak, as the forum currently is the best place to get information.
@new_readers Despite poor written documentation, there is some good video documentation on the forums, and if you are a quick learner and a engaging person BSense can come off as easily manageable/configurable.
Here are are my latest testimonials over at the AutoblogBlueprint Forum:
I love it Hudson. You have made this one of the best Auto Blogging plugins to buy. I am going to have to change my recommendation list.
Mike Johnson [Author of the Blueprint]Blogsense just keeps getting better and better. I love the 7.0.2 update. - coharaI'm glad to see the blogsense 7.0.2. I too am sure that Hudson is surely going to make it the best autoblogging plugin around and the best part of it I like it over WP Robot is that it has a feature of self hosting the images and moreover its updating fast with new additions in its feature list alongwith the fixes.
I've actually quit using this at 3.0 or somewhere around there.. I really don't know how good or bad this product is but all I know is that, I couldn't keep up with the constant changes do I bagged this project altogether.. I think I only have one blog using Blogsense and that was a few months back and I haven't touched it since.. So, even if I wanted to put the latest Blogsense on it I wouldn't even know how to do it unless I reload it from scratch..
BlogSense 7.0.8.1 Released!
BackdatingWe can now select the date we want to begin backdating from.
![]()
Bookmarking
We can now limit which campaigns are bookmarked by BlogSense. For example, if you want a campaign to only post to twitter, then you can set it up that way. Likewise you can completely have campaigns omitted from any bookmarking.Sometimes you might want to control the quality of the content announced to your social services. You might do this to improve your readership, acquire and retain more followers, or even to decease the chances of having accounts disabled due to overuse and clutter.
Custom Fields
Custom fields are now editable directly within the campaign rather than as a global setting, and in addition we also can use the second image url found in the post as a value or a custom value of your choice.
3rd Party Software Integration & Other Post Templating Improvements
BlogSense’s templating system has now shortcode creation wizards for WP Robot and WP Mage. So if you own these softwares then you can now use the power of their automated content.
BlogSense supports short-code creation wizards for WP Robot, WP Mage, phpZon, and phpBay.
In addition I changed two of the pre-included variables: %tag_1% and %tag_2% became %tag_title% and %tag_postbody%. These variables use the Yahoo Terms API to generate a tag phrase from the title of the post and from the content of the post.
Also the variable %campaign_name% has been added, which will call the name of the campaign.
Improved Spin Database
In a joint effort to improve BlogSense spinning capabilities, a couple of colleagues donated word-token databases from their personal collection for BlogSense possible use.
After manually reviewing the 3 databases I picked the best looking one and integrated it with BlogSense. I’m looking forward to your feedback on how this affects the overall experience.
Remember, there is a setting in your ‘Global Settings’ area that if set can allow you to replace synonyms as well. The default setting only replaces phrases.
Improved Campaign Creation Interface
Just some touch ups to make it more organized and look pretty;
—
The Amazon module is now 80% API based and the rest is handled by scraping; and we think we got the scraping parts down. It still uses Amazon.com Search URLS to power product discovery, but beyond that the only other thing powered by scraping is user comments and reviews. Because Amazon works directly with the API now you will have to have an Amazon Secret Access Key and a Amazon Web Services Access Key.
This latest modification also improves flexibility. Take a look at the custom template variables we can use now:
%amazon_price%
%amazon_small_image_url%
%amazon_medium_image_url%
%amazon_large_image_url%
%amazon_product_description%
%amazon_product_features%
%amazon_brand_name%

%amazon_customer_review_content_1%
%amazon_customer_review_authorname_1%
%amazon_customer_review_content_2%

How many domains / subdomains I can run campaigns at one time?
Well running campaigns will take up computing resources; So I would take mind to spread out the work load; But as far as executing content sourcing; I'd try to never schedule 2 at the exact same time. This is just to be safe though.
OK. But if I have several servers and on each run a campaign, it will not be any restrictions?
