I have a site with "MW3" in it's name to promote buying the game and affiliate offers. That's an acronym for Modern Warfare 3. Is this legal? Would it be legal to have, for example, modernwarfare3forums.com and have a forum for people to talk about the game? Would you even be liable if you just named Modern Warfare 3 as a board on your forum with a completely original name?

They're not going to sue you for promoting their game. There are already a bunch of forums on the game and others, youtube videos, etc. You're fine, but the games been out for a while and i dont think many people are going to join a brand new forum about it.

To answer your question yea it is probably not legal. Will they sue you for using MW3 you just never know. Make as much cash as you can and be advised you may get a letter from their attorney.

If the site starts to draw huge amounts of traffic you get noticed and come up on radar screens.
