Hello. I an looking into setting up a company in an overseas location such as seychelles, Belize, Nevis, BVI, etc.

Is it possible to do this - AND - have some form of payment gateway also? The company revolves around subscriptions/membership - so transactions are small - but in multiples.

I am trying to get my head around how to sort this out - but it's seems (right now) like a difficult subject to gain full understanding of (and clearly, I need to go in with my eyes open!!).

I'm taking it you are wanting a high risk merchant account as well? Where you run free trial offers into memberships?

this is very interesting, cos i have been thinking along the same lines as the OP. offering something , cos my niche is a high risk niche and hard to find a merchant wholl do all i ask.

This is something you need to get right from the start. Depending on your industry there are some countries that are better suited than others. If your dealing with a bank in the same country they can often assist with incorporation at a reduced rate. Let me know your industry and processing volumes and I can point you in the right direction.

I am not sure what the benefit of off-shore is nowadays.
The anti-terror laws of the US basically brought everyone in line to report any income etc.
Just think about it, any international wire transfer over 10k is reported to the US government (via the friendly people at SWIFT who for all intents and purposes reside in Belgium). Switzerland, Panama, Cayman islands, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein... all report to the INS...

Also, US international tax laws are a mess. Even if you do not pay yourself any money from your corporation you are going to be taxed on dividend income since you should have paid yourself !!!

Insane and not worth the trouble in my experience.
