I've got a lot of programming experience and want to start earning some money but wanted to get peoples feedback on some ideas.


If you were to start/start over in a new business, what area would you invest in? There are lots of markets to get into but whats proven to be best market to get started in today?


Like: iOS apps for iPhone/iPad; apps for Android devices; Software applications in medical field or other niches; upcoming Windows 8 targeted apps???

Of that selection I would probably target iOS - there's a proven app store model, good dev environment and those people love to spend. Apple customers don't generally expect everything to be free.

With Android you have extra headaches developing for all the slightly different platforms (hardware and different versions of Android) that are out there. Medical is a difficult, high budget field to break in to with serious compliance requirements. Windows is just shit.

to me any type of mobile programming would be good since most upcoming web uses will be through mobiles, and keep learning and learning as a programmer.

Can't go wrong with eCommerce applications! Companies need them. Not exciting but there is job security.

Do you think with however many billions of apps there are, that it may get saturated in the next few months/year - like internet marketing?

App market for tablets is hot right now, ipad in particular, and yes, i think sooner or later it'll become saturated hence it'll be much harder to enter this market.
So if you have great ideas on your mind and some money in your pocket go for it now.

might be some haters out there, but anything with wordpress worth looking at?

or maybe some kind of CRM or POS systems? i dunno just randomly thing of things that could be done

Take help from twitter. that will helpful for you to developing and marketing your business.
