Depends mainly on the age of the account. Most of the cases if the account has received no reports or anything suspicious it is ok to go.

Should I buy something on ebay before I send the money?

If the account is new, you might get limited right away. happened to me. I had a little over 400 and my account was fine. and then when i tried to transfer the money, my account got limited and now my money is frozen.

Yeah maybe I should just send a little at a time. Should I request an invoice on my main account, or should I create a fake auction on my main account that will be hooked up to my main PayPal account and then transfer money that way, what do you think?

An auction seems like it could work with zero issues. Do it for the lulz (your sig)
