Web host not responding and I refered a client
Have been using a webhost for the last 8 months. Was on semi friendly terms with them to the point where I started passing some business their way through some of my clients (a mistake I will not be repeating). This last month my website has been more down than up also I paid a month up front. I have the name and address and they left my client in the shit. I have given them two weeks to sort out any problems contacted them on facebook email etc no response my clients website has had to be moved and I have had to pay for years hosting not a great deal but still its come out of my pocket. The amount owed to me comes to just under £100 gbp what is the best way to recoup this amount or do I just chalk it up to experience and move on. I am thinking about solicitors letter which costs me next to nothing and debit recovery.

Re: Web host not responding and I refered a client
Repeated bad service means the host isn't going to change himself soon or ever. Move over to a better service provider. Usually you get refund but I doubt you'll get it after 8 months. If you're serious about your clients, and you seem to, then get the absolutely pro hosting to save your own reputation from going down. Do a proper research before you move on to another host and get a SLA and uptime guarantee if you're going for anything above shared web hosting.
