Hey, I have a old paypal account with a totally fake name. I think it's business type. The 180 day limit was reached without any chargebacks around 2 years ago, but I haven't been able to withdraw the funds because of the fake name. The address is wrong too, so a cheque should not reach me, I won't be able to cash/deposit it because of the name.
I won't be able to withdraw it to a bank account either because of the name :s
Any suggestions guys?

Youre is problem buddy, moreover you cannot transfer the fund as you are using indian paypal. Maybe contact support and explain them the problem and ask if you cound verify a/c with real name now and withdraw.

You can change your address with paypal but not your first and last name.So better contact them.

how much is on that account?

Make a genuine account in your real name if you can and if not, get a friend to do it and send the funds over as a gift from the fake account.
Draw the money out of the genuine account.

man, indians cant send fund to another account.

It is worth reminding people to not trust anyone who says that they can get money off of Paypal accounts. Currency trading is banned from this forum for good reason. The person is most likely just going to take the money can run. Guess what happens next? Absolutely nothing, you're out that money.

Just curious but why would you open up a paypal account with a fake name? I have seen a few of these recently where someone had money stuck in an account with a fake name and could not get the money out.

Just seems odd to me to accept money into an account knowing that getting it out was going to be a problem.

Option 1: Tell paypal that you got married and your name is completly changed.


Send them Photoshopped images.

Option 2: Forget the money


btw how much money do you have there in limited account?

$500?

$5000 in that account, so it need to be saved!

Try finding a man/woman that has same lastname of the account. I tried it before you can withdraw it even its not the same first name but has the same lastname. Or try finding a bank that accept payments even if different name.

find a friend or neighbor that has lastname kumar and add his bank account to your paypal. I tried it last month and it works.

In the add a bank form in paypal you can put the correct name of your friend. Hopes this works for you. J

I think you need Virtual Bank Account or VBA. Just search it on google.

upgrade the account to business.......and use you name as business title...ur adress as business adress....and if you are near mumbai then msg me i will help u

From what I gathered, the account is limited, so this wouldn't work. Also, even if it wasn't limited, without an attached credit card, Indians can't send money at all via paypal.

ok...y dun he uses a VCC and verify the account to make purchases?

this account is MINE, so it is totally validate, and i am from beijing, china.

the account is limited 2 years ago, so it had been eligiable for withdraw, but can't buy...or transfer......

just don't know if the virtual bank account works??
