Hey, I have a 3-4 year old paypal account with a totally fake name. I think it's business type. The 180 day limit was reached without any chargebacks around 2 years ago, but I haven't been able to withdraw the funds because of the fake name. The address is correct though, so a cheque should reach me, but I won't be able to cash/deposit it because of the name.
I won't be able to withdraw it to a bank account either because of the name :s
Any suggestions guys?

EDIT: It's Premier type. Real address. Any help will be appreciated and once I get the money, suitably rewarded.

Change it to a business account if you can and then get a dba and open a business bank account. If they will make the check out to the business name you can just use the dba to deposit it into your regular bank account.

Hmm...Yeah I can upgrade it, unless it stops me after clicking the Submit button. A relative owns a store here named "Variety Center". So I could make the account as a business account for that? I'll ask him if he's got a bank accont in it's name tomorrow.
What's a DBA?

"Doing business As" Depending on your state/county you either type up a short letter or fill out a form and submit it to the county to show you are going to be doing business with a particular name. Your bank will then allow you to accept payments made out to that name once they have a copy. Cheap to do, I think I paid $20 to file my last one.

A guy already offered me 40/60(40 his). He works in the same company(Infosys) as a relative of mine so I'm looking into him right now. But I'd much rather have the whole lot if I could. If it doesn't work, I could always give someone a cut to do it.

If worst comes to worst, you could just open another account, create another bank account and attach it. Just send the money from the "fucked" account to the "lucked" account, lucked for Lucked out again...

The two private banks I talked to said I'll have to open a checking account if I register a business. No DBA in India, or if there is, not even the banks know about it.
Will try the government bank I have an account with tomorrow. Lets see if they can do anything. Though with the kind of shitty people they have, I doubt they know how to spell "Bank".
