Default Please give advice on outsourcing

Hi everyone. This is a great community and I would like to say THANKS to everyone for sharing such great ideas and information.

Moderators - I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section; feel free to move this thread if needed, although this seemed like the most applicable section.

I've been doing various IM for a few years now and finally I was recently able to quit my day job. The most time-consuming thing I do is sell SEO services. I'm getting to a point now where I have a lot of clients and I've had to temporarily stop so that I can catch up with current orders.

Can anyone give advice on the best way to outsource (just looking for advice at the moment, so please don't ask if I can hire you )? I'm wanting to find someone, or possibly a couple people in say, India and pay a fair price. I'm not too sure if I could afford outsourcing work to anyone in the U.S. where I am from. I would probably make a few training videos and provide my employee with a simple list of 18 or so blog pages where he/she is required to post a comment and a link (example of one task). These would obviously be pretty simple tasks and I would like to pay weekly.

Here is my main question - Where can I go to find a RELIABLE person that I can hire for (hopefully) pennies on the dollar?

I know the obvious answers are places like freelancer.com, but I have no experience with this so I'm not sure if it's the best place for what I am looking for.

Hopefully someone with experience in outsourcing can chime in. Thank you!

I like Odesk because you can monitor the work they do. I've recently posted a few jobs looking for linkbuilders and you can easily get 100+ apply for the same position but I narrow them out quite quickly by looking at their feedback/rate/standard of English etc.

The average rate I got was about $2.22/hour which is incredible really and I found a guy from Pakistan that will do 20 manual comments/profiles an hour!

Thanks for the recommendation. So Odesk allows you to actually see their desktop?

They essentially have software for workers to use, so you can see what they do whilst they're using it.

Just hired my first guy from the Phillipines. His rate is $3.00 per hour which is roughly ten cents on the dollar for the job I gave him. If this works out, this will be great!

Yeah odesk is the bomb; I have never had a problem outsourcing there. You can watch their desktop, take pictures of them working, and they take their feedback super seriously (just like we all do) so they don't buck around. They work hard and they do it for CHEAP. Glad to hear you're guy is working out, I'm sure for $3 an hour you found someone pretty decent.
