when google bans a site for whatever reason, can they do anything to other sites on the same hosting account?

No, generally Google will only ban one website, not the rest of them.

Hi,
Just drop by here today.
Ok, I have been wondering what if google banned the main domain for adsense, would it also banned all the sub-domain of this domain?? Eg if site .com is banned, will sub1.site .com , sub2.site .com ..etc also get banned??

Google has many bans it all depends how bad you abuse them

They usually just ban the domain in question, then if its bad they go for subdomains, or IP address of the hosting, sometimes whole sub ips. Just really depends

If I'm sharing the same IP with many other domains & 1 of them gets banned, the whole IP gets banned, right ?

So can I say that it's better to have my own unique IP?

If your using shared hosting all your sites will be banned because from my experienced they ban your IP. But hey i used shared hosting for my sites because when i get banned i like to get a few thousand others banned with me lol

Is it a black hat if you link your sitemap.xml on all of your sigs at different forums?

example

mysig. <== The word "mysig has the link to the main site while the dot there has my link of my .xml site map

Eh I think that would be "grey hat" but almost all "seo" efforts are grey hat because its not "natural" which is what search engines want.

If you have subdomains, then all of that will be banned too.

IP ban is very rare as almost 99% sites are on shared hosting. Adsense ban and Google ban is 2 different things. Its not necessary that you sites gets ban from both. it can get ban from adsense but remains in google index or vice versa.

for subdomain, if domain is ban from google index, most likely subdomains are ban too. if ban is from adsense it will be for any one, while remaining will still show ads.
