I tried a couple of these RSS Submit tools, and they seem to do their job.
But I didn't see any lasting results from them.
Is this something a person has to do often? Or is it just good to get a site indexed quickly?
Okay, I think I know what you're getting at.
Thanks for the help,

I use RSSBot to submit my RE blogs and it has helped me alot!
I used rss submitters to easily spread out my rss feed from scribd.com. It is not even a blog, RSS from my profile containing the docs that I uploaded. I submitted the feed to 100 RSS sites and each time I upload a doc to scribd.com it is easiy scattered to these 100 RSS sites.
Some ranked well in Google, even #1. Sites like feedest, feedage, etc.
P.S. For those who didn't know what scribd is, it is far better than squidoo and hubpages. PERIOD. PR7![]()

so its true that scribd will help your rank or link as well? will google read link in scribd doc?
By submitting your RSS feeds to the RSS Directory's you get automated back links every time you add more content to your Blog defiantly worth doing
Its useful for promote your blog...but you've to know what r u doing....
RSS feeds is definitely useful for serious blogger. Because, it will be always help you to make a list of your blog link, which is useful later. It will be hard to understand it for the beginner blogger.
Google can't read the contents of the scribd doc and that is beauty of this.
Why?? There's no duplicate contents issue in here. You can grab articles from everywhere and stuff it with your affiliate links and to wherever you want.
What Google spiders read is the doc title and the url (which is automatically generated by scribd. The only place where you can stuff keywords is the description area. When you make your description, write your keywords 2 times in there no matter how short your description is.
With the right keywords, a single pdf doc can rank in google's 1st page in 1 day. Something that squidoo, hubpages and ezinearticles can't do (in a hundred years.)
There are lots you can do with scribd. A perfect way that I have done is from the thread of Harro here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...html#post35571
There may be lots of people who are afraid of getting banned from adsense but there are also lots of ways to get it back.
Back to the top topic, it can give much traffic with the RSS submissions you have done. You can exploit adsense and adsense-like programs. $300/day is not doable with this but it is being done (by me) right now.
Hope this simple post helps.![]()

The question was not about using other people's RSS feeds, but submitting your own.
In theory, great idea, in practice, almost worthless. And a further negative is that you've now given the world your own RSS feeds in the process (and with all those lovely BH tools to redirect the URL and download the full page text you really have given away everything for nothing).
I use it for blog promotion and it works. Fast results until my other methods take effect.
Mate that's crazy talk, of course they can read and index .pdf content. They even have books.google.com and have been scanning pdf content for years.
Slap that in Google quotes and all, it's a snippet right out of the middle of a Scribd book. Hit cached version, Google even highlight it in the middle of the book."Federal Government to promising colleges and universities in the development of their latent research capabilities"
Not at all, if someone is going to tear down full posts from your site they will do it regardless. Just like people will scrape your articles from Ezine, steal your graphics, bypass your affiliate links, crack your software and null your scripts.
80/20 Rule, sure there's always going to be 20% of the people who will bypass what your doing but the 80% that don't make it worth doing.
So yes i submit my RSS and i use the "Feed Layout" plugin which lets you embed links in your feed. Some of my splogs have over 10k backlinks "just" from people scraping and republishing my feeds.
