Duplicate Content and Autoblogging

Howdy!

So I'm working on an autoblogging guide to help me in mass producing autoblogs. I'm in one of the last steps of the guide, generating content.

I have gone over the dozens of methods of generating content, I have experience with my own autoblogs and content. But I just want to hear what other people think.

I know from experience original content does very well compared to duplicate content. The problem with that is with autoblogs it's hard to get original content without either extra work or paying someone for content.

So I'm using a combination of CC and WP Video Tube to generate my content. I use Yahoo Answers from CC and WP Video Tube for videos, visitors tend to like blogs that look busy and videos are nice too. Both options come with comments implemented already which I like.

Now I have noticed I don't find a lot of blogs out there using the same content Yahoo Answers and WP Video Tube Content OTHER then of course on websites YouTube and yahoo answers, it seems it's not huge on autoblogs yet, but of course it probably is but there is just so much content to work with it's not completely saturated yet.

With my experience with duplicate content, a blog can rank okay as long as it has solid backlinks. Now I read blogs that have nothing but duplicate content are hit with an extra penalty.. is this true?

I have about a dozen blogs that use the same content, out of them only a couple do really well, I think it's because the extra work I put in with backlinks, and the rest suffer with about 1/10th the traffic.

Same content, not as much or any backlinks, similar design... equals crap blog.

Now I have some blogs that are completely scrapped, you know they are spam blogs, they're basically worthless and google treats as so, maybe 1-10 visitors a day.. they're on my delete list. But the blogs that use semi original content do better with a couple hundred visitors a day on average.

Sorry for the long post.. one last thing, there are a couple rewrite plugins out there, actually a whole bunch but from my research I only found a couple, Write Again and then SynContent.

I found SynContent to trash posts on my test blog. You can't read them at all.. but the only positive is Google may like it more as they feel it's unique content. Now the only benefit I think this would have is if you're cloaking your blogs.. which I'll probably test out later down the road. It sucks for visitors, and for some reason if it sucks for them, Google tends to know this... I guess with the high bounce rate.

But for blogs you want people to visit.. is it a good idea to use rewrite plugins? Or is it okay to use duplicate content and work hard on backlinks and promotional plugins like twitter?

Geez this is a long post.. sorry.. hopefully it's not too difficult to read and understand... let's see if there are any responses..

Okay, nevermind on not a lot of blogs are using Yahoo! Answers and WP Video Tube... I just found them all in Google's sandbox...

Hmm.. that changes everything..

What do you guys thing is the best way to post content on autoblogs?

Who cares duplicate it up? OR rewrite plugins?

If you hope to rank well you need unique content. Either original or rewritten. Scraping RSS feeds will not get you rankings.

You have to rewrite them. I been doing test.
I made a blog that ranked for keywords had unique content [rewritten]. Then i turned off rewrite - articles get back to normal, i lnked even more and google starte d penalty.. So i runned rewriter back and site got back ;D

That's exactly the type of response I was looking for iglow, a person with experience.

From my own experience original content does very well. And scrapped content does poorly.

I have never used a rewrite plugin, so that's why I ask.

I would think Google has an eye for such a thing and would penalize.. like with the uniquefier plugin.. actually that's the only rewrite plugin I used before and I was penalized big time because of it.

Anyone else care to chime in on their duplicate content experiences, and whether you use a rewriter plugin or not?

Manual Spinning.....

Rewrite 4-6 versions of every sentence so it will mix-match. Makes every article 100% unique and isn't alot of work.

Then add a tad more spin-juice and spin your keywords so you end up covering them all over all your blogs (that use the same keywords that is).

It's not hard with the right tools. And creating your own spinner in php is pretty simple stuff really. You don't have to spend a ton of money to make your written articles spin out into hundreds of totally unique versions.

Oh, and when you spin, don't put more than 2 links (maybe three) per article. Going nuts with the links will get you too.

I will write myself some autospinner and test. How many sentences you suggest to be spinned? Each 1 or each 3rd ?

There is plenty of spinners out there that does this yes, but from my experience it actually hurt my blogs rewriting the same article and posting it dozens of times. Google knows what's going on. Using software to spin that is.

But if you manually rewrite, sure it's a lot better, but that defeats the purpose of autoblogging.

So automatic software spin is bad but using a macro software and doing it manually is OK ( I currently do it manually with macros) and change up 1st 3 paragraphs

Another blogger posted (I forget where) how he posted on a 20% new/80% rehash basis, and how that worked out well for him. The idea is to have ENOUGH new content on a site to be indexed and ranked.
