Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and would like to ask you for some help. I'm currently having some Wordpress blogs and want to automate them (pulling the content from RSS). I know there's RSS2Blog but I just can't seem to get it to work, and many other scripts are for Blogger only. There's also Wp-o-matic but it is quite limited, as I can't choose how many posts it'll publish at a time. So do you guys have any recommendation and link to some good script?

i've tried feedrss but it still doesn't allow me to choose the post limit. All those plugins seem to pull everything from RSS feed and publish them all out.
I'm trying to use Content Farmer, but it requires Ioncube, and HostMonster doesn't support it out of the box. Time to do some experiment here ...

I stayed up for the past few nights working on this very research! I have tested feedwordpress, smartrss, wp-o-matic, and more and as you stated, they are pretty basic - they all post very short snippets and they link out to other sites for the full feed. Of course you can turn off the link outs but then there is no real content to use for adsense, etc.

Content Farmer looks like the application version of Traffic Domination (membership websites) that I have been looking at. TD creates unique RSS feeds that you can then use feedwordpress or the others to autmatically post to your blogs. Since you are creating the feeds on their servers, you can control the posting schedule from there too. I asked before, but does anyone know anything about Traffic Domination? It looks hot, but it costs like $100 per month...I think I found way to get it down to $37 a month, but still that's alot of money.

Other than Content Farmer and Traffic Domination, I don't see anything else out there that can do a decent post and allow you to insert anchor text.

Am I missing any other solution??? I really need to do something soon.

I've successfully installed it, but now when I try to log in with the default admin/password, it just takes me back to the login page again. Hmmm, anyone has any idea what's going on?

I dont know know why rss2blog is not working for you. I had tried it with different hosts and it works fine with all of them.

Moreover it has the no of items to pull from rss feed. It will not pull all items and post them all at once. So if you make an rss feed with 30 items and setup no of items 1 to 1 it posts two items each day. I dont know why, it should post one item only. Any how it is better than posting all items at once.

Alexa: I mean it's the default username/password, which they set it to be "admin/password"

peterson35: I'm not sure why either. I know it's supposed to be quite good, but I always have trouble with the file codelock.php, and when I try to create a new post, normally nothing shows up but only some PHP errors from that file...

feedwordpress works fine to me. I use it for my news blog and it updates news from yahoo api service.

That link will be dead as soon as I can kill it. You know, I came into this forum to answer questions about Content Farmer and learn a bit more to make the software even better. I've been busy with coding and what not, but my business partner's been on here too.

You humans have only made it so that I won't add more stuff into the software b/c I'm earning less and less from it -- so why make it better?
