Okay I posted this question in the webhosting section but I might aswell post it here since this fits it more. What is the difference between using a HostGator reseller account to host 1 real blog 2 buisness sites and a couple of autoblogs. What is the difference between reseller hosting and shared hosting. Or what hosting would you recommend

I also want to know that. I want to host 100+ autoblogs. What is the best way to go and be safe? Do I need different IP's or something??

If you're only hosting a few sites like that, I would just get a shared account and use addon domains. Reseller accounts are best, IMO, either when you are selling hosting or if you have a lot of sites that you're going to be hosting. I have a shared account with HG and have 25-30 domains on it without any problems.

It depends, are you going to interlink them and create a blog farm? If not, I don't see much of a problem with having them on the same IP, but if you're going to link them together, you're going to need different IPs on different classes.

No I am not going to link them together. Do you think that a baby hostgator plan will be good for 100 autoblogs?

What is the pros and cons of shared vs reseller hosting

If you really want to be serious about it, there are hosts that offer a P4 2.4 or something similar for 59 bucks. You can host all kinds of autoblogs, or any other thing you want(as long as it is legal). They won't kill your crons, or any of that crap, because it is your server. This is not an affiliate link. I have been with them about a year, and I had one hardware failure, which they had back up and going in an hour or so http://www.pacificrack.com/promo.html

I think VPS is a lot expensive...I don't see any advantage in getting this...

That's kind of a broad question. If you are going to be using a lot of resources(bandwidth, cpu...) then you will have a good probability of having problems at some point. 100+ autoblogs with a bunch of plugins spinning wildly is going to suck some resources. For me, I value my blogs so I don't want to lose them, I keep it to less than 15 blogs per account. That's playing it safe. The other advantage to multible accounts is having a diverse IP pool for linking purposes.
