currently I have 2k uv/day 5k pv/day 12k followers and keep growing, Do you think this is the right time for me to roll out ads? or I should wait? Does it effects your follower growth speed? anyone has experience? please let me know also, give me some suggestions for my blog! thanks!

Tumblr is quick to ban relatively fast and for no reason when it comes to new adult blogs. I would recommend you to just drive traffic to a self hosted site and keep your blog and followers intact. You won't earn that much at first, but in the long run you'll be grateful.

i didnt know tumbler allows any affiliate programs. You can use plugrush or juicy on this blog or better still you can start a wordpress site and use this to drive traffic.

I would highly recommend monetizing the images with imagetwist you'll be making money instantly. Since you have so many posts i would suggest you change at least the most recent images/the most viewed ones..

First off, great work on building a follower base. The power is in your hands. The way I typically do/teach at TumbleForce is to create a 'Tumblr Niche Site' - specifically for Tumblr - this acts as an extension to your actual Tumblr page. Lead traffic back to this either manually (or automatically) and populate that 'niche site' with anything from CPA offers, email opt ins, or better yet go with the private advertising route - it looks less spammy, and you'll probably make larger amounts, especially if you are receiving a good amount of traffic.

Tumblr are cracking down big time on anything affiliate related, had over 10 accounts banned today just for sending out a link to a ppd site! All had over 1k followers.. So best advice to you would be leave the blogs as they are! Don't put any ads or links that are affiliated in anyway, just build up your followers abd don't risk the ban hammer. Instead build a wp site or even a blogger blog (pm i'll hook you up a nice blogger theme) and set the clickthru to the external site.. As for ads plugrush ftw! Earning some tidy money from them, juicy ads I've heard have ugly ads and before anyone mentions exoclick don't bother! There pay rates per 1k clicks is terrible If you don't want to use ads then set up a simple landing page with a cpa/ppd aff link on there

I recommend not putting any ads or affiliate on your tumblr. Link it all in to an external site and you will have safe money coming in.

You can sell links/posts. I would buy 10 blog entries with my url for 20 bucks :-)

Actually, I meant setting clickthru or source urls to an external source. When people click on image they would end up on that url. Alternatively, you can offer to reblog images from other tumblr blogs. This could be a great tool for smaller tumblr webbies to increase their likes, reblogs and followers.

No It is older than that but it just started picking up followers rapidly over the last few days.

Just drive traffic to self hosted domain names + put some CPA offers in it.

I have a custom domain name for my blog. (Its and adult blog) I put a banner ad on the site and il driving traffic to the site but Im not getting any people signing up. Am i using the wrong page. Here is a pic of the amount of traffic im sending to their site. Is this decent?

Are you using CPA? visitors on tumblr don't convert much, so I suggest you try to drive traffic to your own domain, put ads there, and don't use CPA on adult content, try to use offer. That's from my personal experiences. And one more thing, don't monetize until you reach 5k followers

If I was on your place I'd drive traffic to another website. Then you'll have two websites with good traffic and your traffic source website will remain safe.

Is it even worth driving traffic from my adult blog to a non adult website? Or should I create an adult website, like a tube clone or something to direct all my tumblr adult traffic to? Sorry Im a total newbie at this.

I just created my blog a two days ago and I am slow at pulling in traffic. I created a secondary blog and it received followers instantly however not many. I have 30-40 followers with the two combined is that good or bad? I am really really new at this. I've been pinging my blogs if that helps any, however I don't think it does with the no-index thing. Yeah it's normal. The market totally collapsed. You might need between 3000 and 10000 people on average hitting that site before anyone buys.

this is the best time to monetize your page, take advantage while you are still up there. websites are like superstars, they have their own time to shine.

During the times where no Google Pandas and Penguin, I used to earn a 10 to 15usd on my blog with 2000 to 3000 uv a day. My topics are random its a personal blog.

Now the site is like a ghost town, but still earning $0.20cents to $1 a day

I'm only making about $3 avg daily on tumblr

what r u guys doin to make money on tumblr. I tried adding juicyads but tumblr wont let me, it keeps denying the code.

IMO, the best method for tumblr currently is to funnel the traffic to "money" site. Whether that site has ads , CPA , list building, whatever.

This will keep your tumblr blog "relatively" safe, as mentioned anything adult can be banned for apparently no reasons these days, even non-adult seem to get banned for arbitrary reasons.

Make sure your images all have a click through.
Can try watermarking your images, subtly or not lol
Add some text to the post with the url.
Whatever, just do what you can to get the users to your site.

Upload poor quality / small / slightly fuzzed images, promise full quality on your site. Hell, lie through the teeth if you think the user will come to your page.

Don't monetize tumblr, monetize *YOUR* site.

All the above has been said before many times, but still these threads come....

First,,thing about your content..does it helps you readers? or is it entertaining? Once you establish good connection and gives great impact to readers, that would keep them from visiting your blog again and again....Once you'll get their trust,, that's the time you can include some links and banners that is related to your niche...by doing this kind of techniques you can assure that you can have a happy visitors/readers,, chances are they will explore more from your site and try some of your offers and click some advertisements on your site... Just keep your blog be user friendly to be exact!

ok thanks, I thought that someone figured out a way to monetize tumblr. I would like to get me a site however, I am very new to the seo and affiliate marketing thing. So I am waiting awhile before getting a site. Thanks again for the information. (Picked porn cause I could stick with it)
